MMSD Planetarium — Attraction in Madison

“Are you aware that you can check out an amazing telescope for FREE (if you are a resident of Madison) through the MMSD Planetarium?!” This has become my opener to every new person I meet 😂What an incredible gem we have here! We learned of this loaner program when we attended the wonderful Romance Under The Stars event last year. Since then, we’ve taken advantage of this opportunity on multiple occasions. Even surprising our family by bringing a powerful telescope with us to Thanksgiving dinner for some post-turkey star and moon gazing. This experience was awesome! Our third-graders were very engaged and learned a lot! It was a nice experience to go to a planetarium event. The planetarium itself was not too big and chairs that leaned back to see the "sky" better. One issue I had was it was inside a school, and I had never been there before so I wasn't sure where to go as the was no sign. However, I did figure it out after a bit that you could cut through the field house of the school to reach the planetarium. Overall though, I wouldn't mind...
