Crisp and Green — Restaurant in Madison

Incredibly dissapointing experience today. I placed an order for pickup on the app. I walked in at the time that my order was "promised" to be ready at, but it wasn't ready. (I don't expect it to be ready at the time it says anymore, because out of all the times I've placed orders, they are never ready on time).

Anyway, I walk in and a female worker is already helping me find my order but then another white worker named Jamie approaches me and when I tell him I am here to pick up an order for 'Sammy' he immidiately asks for a receipt. I am confused because I have never been asked to provide a receipt for a mobile order and I tell him that and he says "I don't know what you want me to say" and then points to the pickup area and says "if its a mobile order it would be right there" but there is only one bag there with no smoothie next to it (which I ordered). I went to double check the name on the order on the bag regardless, but I asked him "Is the smoothie inside the bag?" and he says "Did you order a smoothie?" in a very condescending tone. I said yes and repeated my exact order to him.

In summary, the whole interaction felt belittling since I was the only customer "of color" or minority in the shop. I felt as if from the beginning of our interaction he was insinuating I hadn't made a purchase and wanted to make sure I wasn't just inside to steal someone else order and also assuming that I couldn't possible afford the food there.

Shortly after a white customer walks in and none of the workers there ask for his name or a receipt/proof of purchase, they just greet and ask him "Are you here to pick up for (his name)?". I don't care if we have a racist bigot in the Oval Office 'running' this country now, or if you support him and his views and beliefs, but if your job depends on the business of your customers and you are expected to provide satisfactory customer service, I would hope you would leave whatever political and racial views you have at home and not act on them at work. This whole experience and interaction with Jamie on the West Side of Madison location felt incredibly rude and racist.

Lastly, I always order the #SquashGoals salad bowl but there was one time that the chicken was hard and not fresh and another time when the workers definitely gave me a kid's bowl instead of the regular sized bowl that I ordered. Obviously, this was very rustrating because the salad bowl is $14. I would expect quality food every single time if I am paying that much...

My mom and I went here recently. I am surprised there are not very many vegetarian options. I suppose you could ask for tofu instead of chicken for some of the options and have them be okay. I eat vegan at home and vegetarian when I am ordering out, though prefer vegan if I can.

I ordered the Seoul bowl and my mom ordered the No Prob Cob (minus jalapeno ingredients). Both of our orders were handed to us with wrong ingredients. I should have been paying attention while they made it but was busy talking to my mom.

My bowl was missing a couple ingredients AND instead of tofu it had !!! bacon and chicken! My mom's salad was missing more ingredients than she had asked to take out. The employees couldn't tell us if the bread had any tree nuts in it. Because she has a ton of food allergies, she was worried something may have been added in, and didn't eat her food. I was too flustered and non-confrontational to address this situation with the staff. I believe there was a mishap between our orders. The employee must have been new. He mumbled and was very hard to hear.

The space is nice and clean and not overly loud despite all the hard surfaces. I will try coming back after a month, hopefully they have everything ironed out by then. I will pay closer attention to what goes into the...

They are very prejudice, and very RACIST, a old friend of mine’s SHE got fired from the there just because SHE WAS BLACK.. they hire people of color, but let them go early, because they insecure of their success. The main manager their name is Megan She’s a mid, older, white woman,. She’s very prejudice and racist towards people of color. Do not apply here. If you are a majority if you are, Dominican need a black Hispanic Puerto Rican Jamaican do not apply at this facility for your own safety. Two of me and my friends came in a restaurant to get a salad and a treat us disrespectfully just because we’re color but it was two white boys in front of us who got served correctly. Please don’t apply or go eat here you’re better off getting a salad from Chick-fil-A or McDonald’s that taste more fresher and detailed. Normally we have the collective of people who give out grants to property land to build facilities like this, that nobody barely likes to go to only the palm color people entertain these certain...
