Many of the shops seem to be losing customers at a rapid pace. Even the good court sees many tenants for a few months before they give up and another establishment takes their place. I've given many of the smaller names a chance only to be disappointed and wanting my money back. Most of the good was stale and cold. The Gyro Express has the best good in my opinion but it does take some time to make. I've loved it everytime I have it and I hope they live long and don't die out. The sign and menus seem a little generic and it would help if he had a local restaurant in place of a fast food chain. The 3 major retailers are still pretty popular with the youth and the older generations but they seen to be dying very slowly. The other "popular" stores are gone. They lost traction and all those expensive clothes aren't worth anything now so that's why I don't follow the hype. I do like nice looking clothes for decent price, but outrageous that will have me selling my plasma just to keep up with bills. The mall is always clean, and has security and staff walking around. There are many restaurants in the mall now and make it awkward for those of us walking around and then see people at Cheescake Factory enjoying their food. The little play area for the kids is nice but they need an arcade and or an entertainment store for everyone. It's a little boring and offers nothing fun and exciting like a laser tag or virtual reality arena. The kiosks are all offering products that aren't very popular and make people not even want to go to the mall. Just to get hassled to buy a product that's not even worth it isn't fun. Anyway, my main reivew for the mall is that it's nice and clean but boring and doesn't offer anything exciting for all ages or have a store that brings everyone together and offers a social gathering for people to make friends. I like it but can use new avenues to bring people together...

She may have been having a bad day, but I did not appreciate the way I was treated. The employee helping me at the desk asked me if I wanted to be an awards member, which I declined; I don’t like to sign up for anything before researching what conditions apply, benefits, etc. The employee next to her piped in, telling me I could save a lot of money with how much I was buying, and continued to insist that I should sign up. Once again, I declined, and said I would consider it another time. After I finished paying for my items, she turned to me again and said “you could have saved $25 from your things, so I hope you feel good about your choice”. This may not sound all that nasty, but the way she said it to me was shocking, and I ended up at a loss for words. By the time I got home, I noticed on my receipt they charged me twice for an item and forgot to charge me another item, even though my total ended up $5 over what I owed. Since it’s $5 I didn’t bother going back, because that wasn’t a huge deal. Overall I was not satisfied with the customer service, and I was unable to find a place to leave this review on the H&M...
Read moreOne of the main shopping centers in Madison, the West Towne Mall has many major shops and chains, plus a number of restaurants. The mall itself is worth exploring to view the size and scope of department stores (like the Boston Store), as well as sporting goods (DIck's has a fine shop in this mall). The Williams-Sonoma is particularly good and worth visiting periodically. Around the mall, thought, the Metcalfe's grocery store is remarkable -- Madison's kind of Dean & DeLuca. The Barnes & Noble next to it is one of the largest physical bookstores in the country, and it is worth a visit. In addition, the West Towne Mall sports a very well stocked Best BUy that has a lot of inventory, plus some outstanding pricing. Don't miss the food court, which has some low-priced fast-food restaurants, along with some more upscale chains nearby. For all these places, the atmosphere is good, with ample lighting, space, and signage to make it easy to shop. Plus the parking is ample! It's one of the best parts of Madison. If only the Macy's in Madison (currently at Hilldale) would move to West Towne, it would centralize all the major department stores in one area. Yet it's worth browsing this shopping center and supporting such a...
