Steam Plus Cleaning and Restoration — Attraction in Madison

I would highly recommend Alex and Steam Plus to anyone! Scheduling was easy: I sent a request via his Website and Alex responded in less than 24 hours and was able to accommodate my first desired time slot. On the day of the job he arrived precisely on time; walked with me through the house; explained what he would be doing; asked questions; answered mine, etc. He really wants to make sure he is doing the job exactly how you want it done: whether to move the furniture or work around it; what types of cleaning solutions to use (if you have pets he will recommend odorless); whether to do closets or not, etc. It took him about 75-80 minutes to do three bedrooms, one family room in the basement and two sets of stairs. I think this was a significant time commitment for a relatively small area, which means that Alex is doing a fine thorough job. The carpets look so clean and fresh now! Our staircases were in bad shape and now we can see that they are actually of a nice beige color, not grey. The teenager's room was a biohazard zone and it now looks like new! After Alex was done he packed up and walked with me through the job areas to make sure I had no questions, etc. He gave me some tips on how to handle the carpet until it dries off completely. He is extremely efficient, through and professional. And he is very friendly too! I would second some other reviewers’ opinions in that Alex rates are very fair; and that no one should rent a DIY machine but...

I highly recommend Steam Plus. I have hired them three times now (I think three) to clean the carpets in my home (hardwood and furniture once) and they have always taken great pride in making sure the job is done right. Alex the owner is fantastic and has great customer service. You can tell he takes great pride in running this business and it shows with the care put into cleaning jobs. Alex showed up on site for one of his newer staff members and helped move furniture and helped instruct and inspect the process to make sure it was performed with the highest quality. In my first cleaning after I bought my home, there was a stain that ended up getting extracted from the carpet pad that was brought to surface during the cleaning; Steam Plus came back and retreated all stained areas and took a second pass over other areas just for good measure. They absolutely stand by the quality of their work.

The prices with Steam Plus are fantastic! I came from Milwaukee and hired national-brand competitors in this service field and paid substantially more. The prices at Steam Plus are incredibly reasonable.

I came home from work to a surprise left by a sick dog (he is okay). I called and Alex was done cleaning the stains in my new carpet within two hours. What is really amazing was this was early evening so he came at the drop of the hat after hours to do the job.

Over a month later there is no remnant of the damage done.

What you need to understand about Alex is he is not just a guy that does a great job cleaning carpets. I told Alex what impressed me the most was the number of reviews he has and not ONE is less than a full five stars. Think about it - this is impressive in any industry let alone a service industry that is going to have some personal subjectivity involved about the end result.

If nothing else, even if you never have to use Alex's services If you are or think you may want to be a small business owner, I would highly recommend following and if possible meeting Alex to learn what he has to say about running a successful business. I won't share what he said to me here - but I will remember his advice if I do ever open a business of my own.
