Big Bend Lake — Attraction in Maine Township

Big Bend Lake is an incredible lake. It is great for walking, jogging, biking, fishing, equestrians, and kayaking. The lake is home to many different species of animals - seagulls, geese, ducks, frogs, and many more. I visited it yesterday, when the weather was abnormally high for the month of March. The lake is very convenient, as it is connected to the Des Plaines River Trail, and free parking is available. My recommendation for the best time to visit would be during the late summer and early autumn months of September and October. The lake freezes in the winter months of December, January, and February. It is also a good spot for picnics.

Big bend lake more like big TRASHbag lake, im all for less governing and freedom but cmon if this polluting isnt gonna lessen id rather have a cop patrolling and handing 200 dollar tickets to anyone that throws garbage in nature and thr lake. The fish are all weak from all the plastics and...

It might just be me but the one place I can fish it doesn't seem like a very efficient area to but if I try to move there is too much stuff all around me. Can't complain too much because people do catch fish there. I just can't get to a different spot without having to go through too...
