The British are coming! Paul Revere, ring a bell? The Colonial Forces, mostly MA Militia we're stationed on top of Waitt's Mount for years watching mostly up & down Revere Beach & towards the Harbor for the British Ships on the horizon then to come ashore. The night of Paul Revere's Ride (of which he personally rode less than 10 miles, 10+ different people made that ride, Waitt's Mt. played a significant role as to dispatching men here & there for months to come. We must preserve that it's one of the most important parts of U.S. History ever. Waitt's Mount should have it's own US Minted Coin! The tallest point in Malden, with expansive views of the Boston skyline. In World War I it was home to a Fresh Air Camp, and in World War II had gun batteries.
