In short: don't have hope that there are some good reviews, this place sucks.
I took a risk ordering from here instead of my usual Indian place (House of Kabob), hoping that the mixed reviews indicated that the good here was a matter of taste. I kept an open mind, but the food was impressively terrible.
Pros: The delivery person was nice, the food arrived ahead of schedule, and the order was correct.
Cons: Everything about the food.
When I first bit into the samosa, I still had hope. Sure, it was bland, but perhaps "low sodium" was another interpretation. With the dipping sauce, it was edible.
The aloo naan, "stuffed" with potato and peas, had a fleck of potato in one bite, and perhaps a total of three peas. But it did taste like bread.
When I opened the rice and vindaloo, I lost hope. The rice was overcooked and soggy. It was vaguely yellow, as if it had been spiced, but it had no flavor. The vindaloo was thin and looked to be 90% oil. But when I tried it I realized that couldn't be true, since it was 90% salt. It had no other flavor: no heat, no spice, no tang. The lamb was chewy and tasteless. Typically, when I order vindaloo, I expect my mouth to be on delicious fire, and I'm willing to keep eating well after I'm stuffed. I didn't want to eat more than a bite of this.
I suppose it's possible that I ordered all the wrong things. Maybe they specialize in different dishes. Or perhaps they have two chefs: one who sucks and one who doesn't.
But don't risk it: don't order...
Read moreI stopped into Taste of India today and was blown away by the service and the food. The owner is one of the kindest people I’ve met—he took time to make me feel welcome, offered me a sample without hesitation, and explained everything with care. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and treats every customer like family.
The grilled chicken with sautéed veggies was delicious—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Even the mango lassi hit the spot! The flavors were fresh and authentic, and the atmosphere was laid-back and clean.
Definitely one of the best Indian spots I’ve been to. If you're looking for good food and even better people, this is the place. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreNo idea about other food but my friend ordered Indian Samosas there the layer was warm but the stuff inside was frozen and it look like they don't make it fresh and just keep the frozen one and when someone order it they microwave or air fry them. I can buy these samosas from any Indian store and eat this way myself too, why going to the restaurant and pay extra... lol Guess what, I had a doubt and then I got to know that they were getting delivery of frozen samosa and I clicked the pic... Good tactics for them but bad service for customers who really know how to...
