Went to Joe Leone's for lunch yesterday. Figured I'd buy a sandwich that I always get. Chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto Di Parma and some basil pesto. I've gotten this sandwich from many places like Tuscany of Jackson and Livoti's in Freehold and always paid $16-20 max. We'll when I saw 42.97 on the plastic container I asked if that was a code or the actual price and to my surprise it was the actual price. Now, I don't care what you get on a sandwich, there's no way it should ever cost that much. This place robbed me without a mask. I had to ask them to make sure they didn't screw up and of course they started reading off everything i got on the sandwich and got each item was astronomical. I could've gotten a pound of chicken and a pound of prosciutto for less. $42.95 + tax was damn near $50, for a sandwich? Has anyone ever paid that much for a chicken and prosciutto sandwich? That's crazy. I will never go back to that place ever again. What a rip off. Highly disappointed. Tuscany of Jackson is the inventor of that sandwich and that's where I'm going from now on. They sell it for $16. Don't believe me, go there and order one. How can they justify a $35 difference in price. It's not like that was the best sandwich I ever had because if it was then I at least would've slept better. Wow. Completely blown away. I hate to tell you but your food isn't that good that you charge that much money. Even if it was that good it still doesn't justify the price. You are robbing people just to line your own pockets. Things aren't that bad. You need to lower your prices and do better....
Read moreNot what it used to be. Food quality has fallen. Meaning food has no good taste. It all just looks eye appealing. I' brought my neighbor across the street, and I' half a dozen turkey meatballs each. And we both got sick. At the same time. Sick for 2 days. I' felt so bad. Now my neighbor tells me I'll pass on everything I offer him. Haven't gone back since. But I'm surely thinking of going back for the Deli Burgers. They come only in the summer. They come in a 4 pack. Very delicious. They really should have the Burgers all year long. Yeah I'm willing to go back. But not for the turkey meatballs. Sorry, I' have to tell it. Like it is. Forgot to mention. They really should change all, their deli sandwich bread. For better bread. Like "TomCat" Bakery. From Long Island City, Queens. They would make a...
Read moreI wish I could have finished my sandwich. It was amazing and a big one too. My mouth could barely fit around it. Never knew about this spot until a friend took us there for lunch. They have so many options for food. They also have many options for bread which is a god send. I love that you can see all the fresh ingredients being used to make your sandwich. I ended up with the house special and added the pesto. Their pesto is crack. Will definitely be back to try more...
