This even makes me more upset to write this. But I had. So on Monday 01/27/25 I took my iPhone 13 there to transfer everything on it to my new iPhone because the 13’s screen is off. I was told by Brandon that it will take 2 to 3h. Well I left my phone and came back more than 3h later and it wasn’t backed up from my 13 to the computer talk less of backing it up from the computer to my new iPhone. I was told i have many things on my 13 that’s why it’s taking so long. So I have to take my new phone with me and left the 13 With them for the backing up to the computer to be complete because I drove from Junction City. Brandon told me that he’s going to call me when the backing up is complete. On Tuesday 01/28/25 after 11am I didn’t get any call from them so I called and Brandon said that the backing was completed last night before he closed. Wow, why didn’t you call me then? So I needed to bring my new phone over and had to wait for another 3 to maybe 5h to backup everything from their computer to my new phone. I then decided to come to Manhattan on Sunday morning at 10am to drop my phone and get it back around 3pm. So on Sunday 02/02/25 I drove there and found another man there who took my new phone and I left. At 12pm after church my husband got a call from them that their computer had a problem on Saturday and the backing up wouldn’t be possible till Monday. I was confused, why didn’t I get a call on Saturday that the computer was down so I wasn’t supposed to drive 30min just to drop a phone.? I came back to their office on Sunday around 1:30pm to take my old and new phone and ask for a refund. He said he’s not sure when their computer is fixed maybe it won’t have my things in it so I should let him back up things from my 13 to another computer. So are you saying I should wait for another over 3h for that? He said yes so I insisted for my refund. Maybe I should have called the police at that point. After all that man blackmail, he said since he was the only one in the office he wasn’t able to get me a refund. And the management is going to call me on Monday, I do not have to drive back there for the refund. On Monday 02/03/25 I missed their call telling me that their computer is back on I can come with my new phone for the transfer. It seams like they haven’t gotten a message that I needed a refund. I called back and I was told that they are going to take $99 for their labor fee and refund me the rest. Well I’m just waiting for that in my account unless I don’t get it then they will hear it from somewhere else. You are in a business yes but not by jeopardizing with people’s time. I know how much my one hour is worth so just be playing. That receipt I have didn’t say any $99 for labor fee. It talked about 90day warranty and 7days. I...
Read moreIf I could give less I would. Two weeks ago I had the front and back screen replaced at a cost of a little over $500 dollars. It took 2 years to break both (fell off the back of a truck at 60 mph). I've had several issues with the phone since: face id not working intermittently, a permanent little red notification on my setting tab informing me of not original apple equipment, and not without any significant drops that would otherwise make a person say oh no let me check that out; the back screen is broken and pieces of the edge is falling out that should be the part that is attached. Mind you this is all while being in a case. I called and was told they would a look at it but most likely the physical damage would not be covered. It seems that low quality parts were used and no accountability is being presented. not even interested in getting the phone repaired a second time from them nor paying to have it repaired again at all. I'm sure my experience isn't the norm but there are a few other reviews with similar problems.
edit/reply to owner response: Telling on myself? Not sure how I did that. Maybe I wasn't clear on the significant drops (dropping on nightstand or coffee table). I get standing behind employees. I get standing by suppliers. inferior installs and parts not so much. As far as the notification issue you shouldn't sell items you can't properly install without a permanent issue or at least notify the customer this will happen. and finally, trying to call me out on Your reviews? They are your reviews. Now worries though I won't be back nor recommend your business. Thanks for...
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a Note 9 battery replaced There was a minor oversight initially with a cable that came loose during re-assembly. They fixed the issue right way with no argument (and no additional charge).
I had sort of anticipated that cable might have been a problem having watched a repair video. In fact, that was one of the reasons I decided to let someone else mess with it. I didn't think my clumsy fingers would get things back together! So I am not holding the fact that it came lose again on re-assembly against them.
A couple of things I have learned over the years when dealing with phone repairs (applies to all repair centers): Check the function of all the buttons and sensors (power, volume, finger print sensor, camera, microphone, and speakers) . Repeat the same checks when you get the phone back before you leave with the repaired device. Checking network connections also not a bad idea if practical. It is much easier for both you and the store to address problems at the time of pickup. Even for places that don't require appointments (Mobile Revive did not when I called), always call ahead to confirm they have the necessary parts and staff to perform the expected repair. (expected because if it is a repair, they are going to have to make their best guess as to what is wrong) Be patient if things get missed on re-assembly. Having done some myself, there are a LOT of things to reconnect on modern phones and they are all in a very...
