Read moreWent to see the Abba tribute band at the Manitowoc Civic Center on 11/06/21. Let me start by saying this is the first time I ever walked out of a performance. The civic center is not a real big place to start with, the music was SO LOUD it was like you were in a echo chamber. The Women’s voices were not clear at all thank god I am a Abba fan and knew the words. The two men in Abba could of stopped playing there respective instruments and no one would have known because the band was so loud. Our seats were 10 rows from the stage right my wife and I moved up to the upper mezzanine level thinking it might be better, it wasn’t people had there fingers in there ears up there as well ( that’s no lie). The band needs to fine some sound people that know what they are doing. The civic center is a very nice place and is great for plays. Was going to leave a review about the group but was not able to find a site specific to Abba Mania. Very Very...
Read moreI was a season ticket holder for the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra’s 2024-2025 season. My seat was in the mezzanine, second row house left. I have seen shows from the main floor, from the mezzanine and from the balcony. I particularly enjoyed the mezzanine seats due to the feeling of intimacy they provide. But I have never been disappointed with any seat I’ve had for a show at the Capital Civic Cemter. When I can, I prefer to be as near as possible to the center of the house, but even when I have ended up being closer to the wings, I have always enjoyed the performances I have attended. And other than 1 isolated incident, I have always been treated with courtesy and respect by the volunteers at the Capital Civic Center. I love the upgrades they have made to improve the facilities amenities, things like the addition of the elevator for the mezzanine and balcony, the addition of the restrooms on the...
