Wasn't that impressed. Just to be fair, this kind of place is out of my element, but my wife's cousin from California picked it. Like I mentioned it was out of my element but I decided to dive right into the experience. Ordered a juice, a salad and some cheese curds to wash it all down. Glad I ordered the cheese curds. I honestly didn't know exactly what I was ordering and it was a disappointment. My fault, not the restaurants. My wife ordered a hot kind of turkey sandwich, her cousin a wrap. We all ordered one after another. I grabbed from the grab and go, but the sandwich and wrap were ordered one after another. The wrap was served almost instantly, the sandwich was served at least 15 minutes later after we asked about the sandwich they said there was a big order and only one person making food. But how many orders could come in the .2 seconds after the wrap was ordered. We're assuming the sandwich was forgotten about until we mentioned it because right after our order a number of people came in for a child's birthday party. The kids birthday party destroyed the "Atmosphere" with a bunch of kids yelling and running around. Food was good but over priced, 10.00 for a small salad 8.00 for a 16 oz juice is a bit much. The atmosphere my have been good without...
Read moreHarmony Café just opened at their new site at 921 South 8th Street. In the same place the Hearty Olive used to be. This restaurant is the continuation of the Grow It Forward movement. A vegetarian and vegan friendly place with excellent food and cheerful, helpful staff. My wife got a sandwich with applesauce in it. A bit unusual but absolutely delicious. Friend Judy and I got burritos, which were just as savory. Wife says the cold brewed coffee was really good. Some of the best Earl Grey tea I've had in a long time. You order at the counter and a smiling person will deliver your food to your table. There is also a large cooler with take out food already for you. Salads, bakery, quiches and sweets are all stellar. Add great food and service to their philanthropy of providing meals to people in need makes this place a slam dunk five star place to dine. Organic greens are grown on site in hydroponic growing units. I am delighted that this great place has opened up in Manitowoc. Every city needs more healthy places to eat and this restaurant is a dandy. A place worthy of your patronage. A place that makes it easy to eat healthy and is a benefit to...
