They go to jail for a life sentence. The bar service was horrible. I ordered a Bloody Mary with Absolute vodka. I did not see Jane pour the vodka, but being a person that knows vodka, the drink did not taste as good as it should have with Absolute, then I ordered another one from Jane and told her it would be the same, she did not pour Absolute, but some well vodka, I told her the drink was to be made with Absolute, she put the drink aside and made another one the I saw the Absolute bottle being used, she did as I requested, but had an attitude with serving it.....then came the dinner, I ordered the pork chops with a salad with out the coconut shrimp. I did not get the salad, but did get the coconut shrimp with my pork chops....hummm...in the mean time they gave you one piece of bread and olive oil....hummm where is the balsamic vinegar that you mix the two together, dip the bread and then eat....no where to be found...who wants to eat bread with oil??? But back to the dinner...the pork chop had absolutely no taste to them, and they were dry, the two coconut shrimp were coated in a heavy breading that when you scrapped the breading off, the shrimp was the size of a pea, really not kidding....the green beans were very crunchy and the potatoes were the only good item on the place. Now we address the extremely obese, obnoxious male that went from table to table to act like he was someone important, he did not give you the time of day, just spouted off how great he was...really do not know what his role is in the dining room, but being so obese, he made you think twice about what you were eating that you too would turn out to be obese like him. The place is way over priced and the service is...

The realm of John Jagemann is in the past. I'll miss his visits to our table. Yes, John has retired and has turned the reins over to a new generation. We were curious to see if, or how much it has changed. Went there last Friday for their fish fry. Our experience certainly did not disappoint us. We had a humus appetizer that was outstanding. We both ordered the perch plate. While the fillets were on the small side, they were perfectly cooked. A side of red potatoes and house made cole slaw were the perfect compliment. Used to be all the waitstaff knew who we were and treated us like royalty. Actually that didn't change. We got there right at our reservation time. The maitre 'd had our requested booth at the ready. A cheerful waitress brought us menus and a young man filled our water glasses. So far so good. Our meals came in perfect time. Our waitress was attentive and checked with us several times. I like having time to finish my appetizers and salad. As we were finishing our fish, our young friend Eric came over to the table for a quick chat. He had waited on us many times through the years. It was good to a familiar face. Bottom line this place is still the best restaurant in Manitowoc. If you want the gamut of a fine dining experience, food, service and ambiance, it would behoove you to check this place out. Make sure you have a...

Loved this place and food under original owner. Loved it under new owners. (Both for 14 years) Until.......came one night for my usual excellent medium priced salmon. Was told the price up to $45. Nearly double. When I answered no, too expensive but I will take a wine, I sat at the bar waiting close to 1/2 hour and ignored - place was not busy - I finally left. This interchange lack of service was not with the owner He is a fine person. Later at another bar to eat and a beer, someone was paying for this. I was alone and knew noone. It was another employee from the C Pub wanting to make up for the rudeness of my treatment. How kind how honorable told THIS bartender to give my gratitude. The young lady came over to me. I will always be grateful. Sadly I did not get her name. She was making it up to me for the "poor" treatment I had received at the Courthouse Pub. C. Pub when you see this I am certain you will be able to figure it out and give this young lady alkaloids - a raise if I had the money I would have given it to her then. I'm not saying I do not want to come back to the courthouse Pub but if that salmon dinner continues at $45 it's not possible You have forfeited my one very special dinner per month excellent salmon that's okay the Lord will make it up to me or to anyone else who has received this type...

We were sailing from Sheboygan to Manitowoc and looking for a good, local restaurant where we could eat outside with our large dog. I messaged a few local restaurants on Facebook and got an almost instant message back from Courthouse Pub, "Yes, we love having dogs on the patio! We also have water dishes for your pup." We had a winner! We walked from the marina, just a smidge over a half mile, and it was a pretty walk along the lakefront and river. Our server Eric was most welcoming to both my husband and I, and our dog, Sadie. We quickly received our drinks and so did Sadie :). We had a delightful meal. My husband had the tuna and I had the special, Rainbow Trout with farro; spectacular! They even brought our dog a sliced, grilled chicken breast! Seriously, our experience at Courthouse Pub was delightful. They had a small, yet refreshing wine list (not the usual standard brands) and their own brewed beer. The food was delicious and the service by Eric was outstanding. We will be back again.

Excellent experience here tonight. Arrived for our reservation a bit early, but found room at the bar while we waited for our table. The meal was delicious! The appetizers were a surprise and a delite. The burrata was very good, but the favorite at our table was the salmon dip and pita wedges. There were three steaks, one salmon, a fish 'n chips and a seafood nachos ordered and everyone loved their meals. (Also delicious soups, too. I had the cod chowder--the soup of the day--and my husband went with the French onion. Both were delicious!) I must also commend our waitress for being super attentive and on-point with our experience from start to finish. The next time we're in town we'll definitely be back!

What a wonderful experience! The menu offered a wide array of choices for all diners. Our server, Emily, was knowledgeable, informative and made great suggestions. I would highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Dip as an appetizer. It was enough for 2 to 4 people and features salmon smoked at the restaurant. For dinner, I ordered the Walleye which came with asparagus and rice pilaf. It was dusted with a light coating and pan sauteed to perfection. The asparagus was lightly steamed and fresh. Dinners come with either soup or salad. I've attached a photo of the featured strawberry, blue cheese and walnut or pecan house salad. Whenever we travel through Manitowoc, we try to stop here!
