I stay at a lot of hotels as a business owner who frequently travels but also travels often with my kids. We made a last minute reservation at The Inn on Maritime Bay and had a great stay. The woman working the desk was so courteous and welcoming that she eased some stress we had coming in after getting a flat tire on the way. It was too late to swim by the time we arrived but my family was grateful to have a cozy room on the third floor. The one room kings are great for those with small kids. The room was spacious and worked great for our needs. The only downfall was that the toilet gave off the sound of a loud train whistle every time it was flushed. With two young kids, you can imagine how frequently I got to hear that. Beyond that detail, the room was great. The next morning we had some bagels and cereal. It advertised breakfast burritos but there were not enough out (one left) for my family of four. I'll be honest that it was a little odd that breakfast was located next to front desk, but while basic, it worked. The pool was a great temperature and the hot tub was relaxing. Kudos to the hotel for having large towels available in the pool area. So great to be able to actually dry off with a substantial towel. My kids loved the arcade on-site. The hotel had a bonus little feature that was cool, a small garage sale type setup from employees and friends in a banquet room. It was fun to check out the treasures! Overall, minus the small recommendations for the toilet/a more prepared breakfast, we would absolutely stay again. We slept well, the beds were comfortable and overall it provided all the amenities I needed as a mom and as a business owner working away from the office. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn on Maritime Bay for a work in Manitowoc. The hotel is located on the water next to the Maritime Museum and across the way you can see where the Badger docks. There are many restaurants close by so you have a good choice of places to eat. Many of the rooms have some form of a water-view, which is nice and the windows are not locked down so you can get the fresh air into the room. The best part of the hotel is the staff. My team had many requests and the staff was able to take care of us in a great way. If you make your way to Manitowac, make sure to stop by and spend time at the Inn on Maritime Bay.

I'll give it to them, Their website glitched and it screwed up our room, Not that bad and not blaming the staff as they are friendly, But when the room door can't open the first time you tap the card on the sensor, And the 2nd time it works you know it's gonna be a mess. And then the toilet seat was broken in the room because they took all the crap from the previous hotel and put it back in here with new stuff. Pool needed a deep clean as grime was on the tile. Spider webs on the window but that's typical to happen but the window was very dirty and needed cleaning. Decent hotel but I would not pay that much to stay here.

Second time coming here for the vintage sale weekend. I’m just not a fan of this place. You really need to do some upkeep on the property. Bathroom smelled like pee bad, garbages were full. Wallpaper peeling off, rusty lights hanging and just rough entry. You know if you would be more welcoming to the vendors they might tell others how good of service and hospitality this place is. But it’s far from it. Your front desk lady was not very nice at all. Was almost a bother to her. Management is dropping the ball here. You should be seeing all these people coming here as potential business for your place. Promote your place better and start cleaning it up and get your maintenance guy to start doing some stuff for the property. Come around and promote your place to the vendors. Management should be at least once coming around and greeting and asking how the place has been. This is big business you are getting but doing nothing for them to help promote a stay. When you have vendors coming in offer discounts for the stay. Offer something for the kids . Do something besides be absolute dormant service. Yes I know we weren’t staying there but if you had a slight discount you could actually pull in vendors to your facility for the two days. Be welcoming to potential customers. I told my wife I said I wouldn’t have minded staying here but it’s kinda rough. Plus the service has always been unfriendly. Why would I wanna stay there and give you my money? Start being more proactive during events you rent for businesses small or large. I won’t ever stay here I’m just letting you know that and I won’t be ever giving any good feedback for the place. So just so ya know. Clean up your place and start getting your maintenance man working on the entry, the bathrooms, and have your places clean for vendors to come in. Only thing good about this place is the...

I have been coming to the Manitowoc area for 30 years now, and was excited to find this hotel went through an interior upgrade. Well that's mostly true. Yes they did paint, new carpet, furniture and update the bathrooms and also did some updating of the pool area as well.

When we went to our room we found hair in the bed, garbage in the waste basket and towels for one person. So we went down the desk and the gentleman (Jory) that checked us in didn't offer to have the bed sheets changed out, and I also had the card of the person that cleaned the room and he said it was his mom and chuckled. So we went back to the room and took the hair and put it in the garbage can. Obviously nothing was going to be done about it. He did in fact get us extra towels and soap.

The pool inner walls could have been cleaner and the water intakes that catch hair and debris were brown and discolored. There was a broken light fixture light in the pool, was just floating in the housing. It was a bit disturbing being electric, but I'm sure the power was disabled to it. Also we wanted to use the hot tub and only two of the jets were working so that was sort of a let down.

We were notified when I made the reservation that the breakfast was very small, and for what you pay to stay at a location like this I feel is insufficient.

At check out I asked who's BMW convertible was parked under the overhang where you unload your car, and I found out it was the General Managers car. I said that was very rude because the car was blocking so many people many times. That person's car is no more special than anyone else's car. Shame on Her!

The stay...
