Stockpile Games — Attraction in Manitowoc

I usually love supporting small local game shops, but my recent experience has left a bad taste. We accidentally broke a figurine during our visit, and while I understand we should be responsible for it, being charged the full retail price of $35 felt unreasonable. After checking online, I found the same figurine priced around $15-20, even with shipping included.

Accidents happen, and I was hoping for a bit of understanding from the store—maybe charging us the inventory cost or at least a small discount would have shown some empathy. Instead, we were met with a lack of flexibility, which unfortunately has made me reconsider supporting this shop in the future. rude price gougers would give negative stars if I could— went to one of their pre releases and enjoyed the games with the attendees- I wanted to support so I bought a collectors box for nearly double what was listed on tcg; to support the LGS. Went there to sell them 3 of my games. All for PlayStation, I had Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2 and Metal Gear Solid. All complete in cases with the artwork and manuals and all 3 had registration cards. He offered me $29. $29! You kidding me? I said "that's all I can get for them?" He replied "just take them back then, I don't want them." Pretty rude even though I did sell them to him cause I needed the money. Went back there and saw them in the case each priced $40 or more.
