I was often at Latin/Salsa night back in the day. I think what I loved most about Kato Ballroom was the spacious dance floor and good sound system. I used to go to the Fun.com Halloween parties, they were exciting. I did venture out to see that “Channing Tatum” dance show once, I should’ve not ventured out that day! Now that I’m older and “wiser,” I come to the more G rated events -which are still so much fun.
Wait staff at the table, where you get water, sometimes seems to intentionally skip over me or like they’re not inclined to answer my simple questions. So we’re missing a star for that because I do take customer service serious -whether I look like you or not, whether you like me or not. That’s business you’re still getting paid for.
Someone reviewed that they only take cash so they were bummed, but they also have a whole atm.🏧 So if you bring a physical card, you should be able to get cash.
I spent my younger 20s there as well so much gratitude and God bless each at Kato...
Read moreIf I could do no stars I would. When me and my fiance came into the Kato for our reception the night of wedding he gave us a bill for over $2000 even though the owner had told us we were paid off a month in advance. He added things to our bill that we had specifically told him we didn't want but he added to our reception anyway. Then when dinner time came the meat they served was raw... and I don't mean just undercooked. It looked like they had took it straight from the refrigerator and put it right on a plate to serve to my guests. I can't even tell you how many people we had tell us or family members that they had gotten sick that night for the food. Even after all this he refused to take anything off the bill. If it wasn't for our DJ my wedding night would have ended up in tears. Then the next month my younger brother had his senior prom there and him and other students got sick because the food was again not cooked. I would never recommend this place for...
Read moreMy wife and I had our wedding reception at the Kato Ballroom this summer and many of our guests said it was the best reception they had ever been too. We had to do all the planning from 8 hours away and Larry was extremely accommodating to our schedule when we were back in the area. We decided upon the buffet option for the meal and it was delicious, Larry had 2 buffet lines set up so our guests could get their food quickly and efficiently. The large area in the ballroom was priceless, nobody was crowded at all-plenty of room to move around, unlike a reception at a hotel or country club. Larry kept checking on us throughout the evening to make sure we were happy with everything. If you are getting married, this is the only place I would have your...
