We have never left a bad review on anything in our lives, and it sucks that we feel its deserved, but this directly affected our wedding. First, all of my groomsmen, father, and father-in-law live 1-2 hours away from Graif one-way, so minimal trips were important, and this was made clear early on. We picked Graif as they were local to us and in a central location for everyone. The handful of weddings I, my groomsmen, my dad, and my father-in-law have been in, it has always been measurements, first try on, try on after alterations, and done with the occasional need of someone maybe needing one extra alteration for slight adjustments (3-4 VISITS MAX). We had 5 of the 8 with 3 visits, 1 with 4 visits, and 2 with 5 visits, with 1 of them having pants that were still incorrect. The only good and smooth experience we had in this whole process was the initial measurements visit; other than that, nothing was seamless or without some sort of issue or miscommunication, or lack of communication. There was a very significant lack of communication and disconnect between all of the employees. There was only one time that they reached out to us first, and that was to let us know that there was still one person in my party needing to get in for measurements before the deadline, which they did. After that, we had to always reach out to them to get updated. It was past the approximate time they said it would take to get the suits in, and we hadn't heard from them, so we called just to find out all the suits were in. During the first try on 4 of the 8 of us had either WAY TOO BIG OR SMALL pants or jackets (some needing to have new stuff ordered and couldn't even have alteration markings made at this visit), one of the bigger guys had a vest that was way too small and was told now rather than when they took the measurements that they don't make a vest big enough for him. We had already picked out specific style of shoes we wanted them all to wear and some were given shoes to try on and others were not, and for those that did try on shoes some were given the wrong shoes to try on, but thankfully we had sent them all pictures of everything so they called and asked if what they were trying on was correct and we said no. After everyone's first alterations (THAT ALL GOT DONE A WEEK LATE FROM THE TIME THEY STATED AND AGAIN WE HAD TO REACH OUT TO FIND OUT IF THEY WERE DONE), 3 of the 8 of us still had issues with fitment. I had pant legs with two drastically different tapers (one was baggy and the other was so tight that it was stuck on my calf). Another had pants still way too big. Another had pants that were initially too small, AND THEN THEY MADE THEM EVEN SMALLER, then made them slightly bigger but still were too small, then made them slightly bigger but still were too small and ultimately, after 5 visits, no more adjustments were able to be made because their only alteration person was on vacation the week leading up to our wedding (WHICH WE ONLY FOUND OUT A WEEK BEFORE HAND) so he had to just take the pants as is and he ripped the butt of the pants open at the wedding when simply sitting down. There never seemed to be any urgency on their side of things to make sure alterations were done correctly before their alteration person was on vacation. One of my groomsmen was charged an alteration fee even though alterations were included, and when I brought this up to our main point of contact, I was just told that they would look into it, and at this point, not to my surprise, we never heard back just like with other concerns we brought up throughout the process. This is just our experience and we feel so many of the issues we and the groomsmen experienced aside from the measurements and alteration issues was due to the employees not being on the same page, lack of communication to us rather than us having to reach out first all the time, and the mixed information being given to us when we were constantly talking to different employees not on...
Read moreI hardly ever leave bad reviews but after the experience with Graif's that was nothing short of a nightmare, I have to this time.
I visited this past winter to get sized and plan a date to have my groomsmen sized. I was told that my suit would be in to try on with the guys and have it be a fun get together with drinks. I had guys come from out of state to only end up having a tape measure thrown on them and then told we could go. I asked about my suit that I was supposed to try on and they had not even ordered it yet. I actually had to come in two more times and go through the whole measuring and trying stuff on gauntlet before they would finally order my suit. They said they'd call me when it arrived.
Over a month passed with no contact so I ended up calling them and they said that my suit was lost. They eventually called back saying they found it and that I can come in to have it measured for hemming. Came in, had it marked, and told it would take a week and a half, we will call you. Three weeks pass so I called them once again, and the suit was lost a SECOND time. After finding it they called and said I can come in for final try on. I don't recall the specifics, but I remember either my undershirt or tie was the wrong color as I needed a certain color being the groom. When things were finally fixed I was relieved to finally have my suit at home.
The rental suits came for the guys and they got to experience the headache this place induces. They were all up sold into buying a belt to complete the outfit, of which includes pants with no belt loops. Most of the pants were sized with a belt in mind, meaning they'll fall down without. The guys brought this up to the staff helping them but they say they were brushed off as it was no big deal and rushed out the store. I drive to the store to reorder smaller rental pants and suspenders. Thankfully I clarified and asked questions because Graif's almost ordered black pants to go with our blue suits.
At no point do I feel like there was any communication between staff on anything. Random notes on papers and "who did you talk to last time" was the norm for me. I specifically chose this place because of their booth at a wedding show with a "first responder discount" and their known name. Great part is once it came time for the guys to pay, that discount didn't exist anymore. Having to drive over half an hour one way multiple times to try and fix constant problems got old quick. One of my groomsmen was even considering this place for his wedding next year, but wisely...
Read moreIt really bothers me to leave negative reviews, especially on a local business- but I believe this is warranted. We rented suits here for my wedding. In the months leading up to our day, I had 2 separate meetings and multiple check-ins (in person and via phone calls) to make sure every detail was perfect for our special day. I am a micromanager and everything was set! Communication once the suits arrived wasn’t great and I had to contact them first, but I wasn’t too bothered about that. What did, however, cause a problem was that they provided all 11 men in the party and family with the WRONG suit color. In addition, they provided full ties instead of bow ties, which were specifically requested and (we thought) ordered. We realized all of this the night before our wedding. After the wedding, we requested some reimbursement due to the wrong product being provided, to which they agreed. However, the partial refund process was a nightmare with the staff mixing up card numbers and when groomsmen arrived from out of town who had paid cash, staff claimed they did not have any cash to reimburse them and they’d have to come back. This experience was extremely disappointing and it felt as though communication between staff was nonexistent. In some industries, this can suffice, but when it comes to a wedding where every detail is meticulously planned, this is...
