This is an edit to an earlier review. Another Sunday night and Spectrum starts it's Buffering and no data at 8:00 P.M. over $200.00 a month. YOU WOULD THINK the service should be better. We need competing cable providers as customers so we can receive the service we pay for. There is no excuse for this. Every Sunday evening for the last month or more. Reduce your rates if, you are incapable of providing the services you charge for. RLP-Code 1999... what! The guide isn't even functioning. DATA NOT AVAILABLE interesting Spectrum sell your franchise to a capable provider. Initially we felt Spectrum might beat out Comcast a service we had in Virginia. The first contact with Spectrum was interesting as there was a line of people waiting to pay their monthly bill or return boxes or remotes because of equipment failure however, the representatives were very polite and responsive to their customers uhm, similar to Comcast. We set up our service and felt pretty confident about Spectrum. We ended upgrading to the full package as we soon learned Spectrum offers less than Comcast package, and since Comcast isn't available here our choice of providers are also limited as it seems every local provider has it's prescribed locations. What we have learned in the guide lineup every so many channels the lineup begins to repeat itself. We are constantly resetting the modern as our system responds with no connection. I seldom watched Amazon Prime but find most of my entertainment comes from Amazon Prime, Brit Box, and Masterpiece of which I pay a monthly fee because Spectrum is so lacking. We decided to keep Verizon phone services because we can't be sure Spectrum mobile phone services wll be there in an emergency. When Spectrum goes out, I still have access to a service with my Verizon data plan. Spectrum's services are very expensive while the services are mundane. The phone number Spectrum provided for our landline it seems belonged at one time to a person with legal isdues and we are getting constant calls and threats on behave of the previous owners of that number. We hope to remedy that once things settle with all this madk wearing. Earlier I stated that Comcast wasn't that great well Spectrum as far as product services, pricing, and continuity of service has beat out even Comcast.    Read moreService was awesome till I moved somewhere else.Then I started losing audio and video at night. I went to cancel and the guy was honest and said they had problems where I lived. I canceled my services around the 16th of January since I got Dish. My month starts on the 22nd, so no worries. On January 25th I noticed I still had phone service and called back. The gentleman was really nice and found out that there was a service order to stop all services. He canceled it per my request and said I owed nothing until the internet bill was due. I had decided to keep the internet since he was nice and honest. Strangely, my internet bill shows a balance of $287 or so and I again called them at the end of February about the cable being canceled mid January and why was I billed for another cycle. This time they said they could not find any phone calls from me, nor any service orders prior to January 25th. So somehow my call records got wiped out, the service order got wiped out and the recording they say they always have got wiped out. I was ready to go back to Spectrum, as they offered me a deal slightly better than dish, but their ineptness and losing records and their trying to force me into paying for services I had canceled will make me stay away.    Read moreOur dvr spectrum box would not reset or refresh so my husband took it up to this store assuming it's dead. I ASSUMED the store would test it themselves to troubleshoot, but they just handed over a new box and new cord and said there was nothing they could do about transferring our 90% full of movies and shows over. Since i still had the old cord plugged in the outlet(since it was behind our heavy TV and entertainment unit) I plugged in the new box...lo and behold it wouldn't fire up! So I plugged in with the new cord in an available outlet and it worked! So I figured it had to have been the cord. BUT since you cannot get ahold of the Mansfield store directly (so stupid) my husband had to get back up there asap to see if they could test our old box w a new cord and hopefully retain all of our shows. We live 20 minutes away, so by the time he got there, they said already trashed!? Really!! If they would have just DONE THEIR DUE DILIGENCE AND TESTED EVERY POSSIBILITY THE FIRST VISIT we MIGHT have been able to have all the shows saved...but no because they did not AND you cannot reach them directly AND we live so far away... we lost it all. I am SO not impressed!! We pay a fortune for cable...this is YOUR BUSINESS.. do YOUR JOB! Hope somebody can benefit from this...
