I recently decided to rekindle my hobby of accumulating comics for my collection and was looking for a new shop to help me with that, that’s where Magnus Comics comes in. The business is a more recent comic bookstore without the old comic book smell. The vibe of Magnus Comics is very cozy and clean with prices reminiscent of those from the past when I used to collect comics. What’s great is it is very family friendly and has items for people of all ages. To put the icing on the cake so to speak, the owner is very helpful when you need it and always makes sure the customers needs are met. Just last week, Ryan the owner, mentioned he had a statue I might be interested in purchasing. I had to pay the rent but right after was able to pick it up for my collection. I personally highly recommend this establishment and rate Magnus Comics as a five out of five stars! Well worth the visit in person or online.

Loved this place. My son and I were headed to the City to go to my old favorite Comicbook shop. On the way, the weather turned and the air quality felt awful and smokey. So I asked him what he thought about checking out a place near where we were. This led us to Magnus... relatively a small place full of quite a variety of comicbooks and merchandise of ALL kinds. The gentleman was really attentive, and there was a fair number of traffic coming in and out of the shop. But at no point was it too crowded. Loved the "old school" new figures, and all the Anniversary editions. We walked out with a couple of items, but will come back for more. Check'em out! It is above the old theater. Kind of low key, upstairs location.

Went here with my 11-yr-old son. Magnus Comics had everything either of us could hope for. Pokémon cards, comic books, figurines, toys, games, graphic novels. Amazing they were able to fit such variety into the space. Great shop. Very glad Maplewood finally has its own comic store.

Stumbled across this place last summer, and had a trip down my Gen X Memory Lane. They had all of my old favorites from vintage GI Joes, to Star Wars action figures, and the modern Funkxo Pops. But most importantly, they have a lot of good comics.

I have been stopping in for a while now, and recently discovered the latest Transformers comic reboot. After reading a few issues, I dove headfirst into the "Energon Universe" of books, which offers a modern reboot to my favorite GI Joe and Transformer characters. Take a look for yourself, and enjoy.

I have had occasion to email the owner about various random comics, and he is always super responsive. Bonus points there.
