Victory Hair Salon — Attraction in Maplewood

Love this salon!! I'm very particular & always find something that can be improved but not with this salon. I read another review about a stylist named Jess which made me nervous when she was my stylist & she did exactly what the other reviewer said and asked another stylist (also named Jess) which products she would use to achieve what I wanted BUT I'm in love with my hair. I realized I appreciated her getting a 2nd opinion (which is what's recommended in many aspects of life), it's like they had a design meeting and collaborated just for me plus they were agreeing vs it being like she was training or something. Since then I've recommended this salon to my mother-in-law (harder to please than me) who hasn't been able to stop talking about how much she loved the cut & price. I also made an appointment for my husband so I don't have to cut his hair in our kitchen! Normally he'd make an appointment at a barber shop, would still have to wait and wouldn't get shampooed (let alone insight on what type of products he should use). MaryAnn also recommended somewhere for me to get lunch to take advantage of my mommy alone time. Love love...

I love Victory salon, formerly known as “Staynd” in Maplewood. The stylists are friendly, professional and reasonably priced for services, and it has a real small town/hometown feel while still delivering high-quality salon services you might find in a big city. Alma Victor, the owner, is a highly trained colorist, and sought after for her expertise. She also ensures that her staff has the same style of training through one of the large color companies – I think it’s L’Oreal - and she until recently (pre COVID-19 times) took them on in person development trips to improve their skill set. I can personally recommend Phillip Ferroni if you have curly hair that needs careful consideration (he also does great color work), or Cindy if you like the style of dry cutting, at which she is an expert. Jessi C. was my colorist. I really can't express how happy I am. From the very beginning she made me feel so comfortable. She listened to what I wanted and looked at different photos i had found on google. She explained to me thoroughly on the best way to achieve what I wanted and what i can expect. I have extremely bad anxiety and she truly made me feel at ease and comfortable. Very easy to talk to. Time really flew by. The end result..I have truly never been this happy. This was beyond my expectations. To say I am thrilled the way my hair turned out.. is the biggest understatement. I feel so much more confident and truly happy.This was hands down the best hair experience I have ever had. And definitely the best result. You can seriously tell she puts her all into this.
