Ordered a bike from trek and had it shipped to this store for assembly and pick up. In the day of pick up when I got to the store it was empty I saw two workers inside one guy seemed to be new. No one went over my bike with me, made sure that I was satisfied with it or anything. They didn't even offer to sell me a kickstand since one didn't come with my bike. I felt like since I didn't purchase my bike directly from them they didn't really care. They guy in the back working on the bikes told the guy at the counter "just check his ID and give him his bike" in a way like he didn't like the fact that I didn't buy it from them. I took my bike for a quick ride when I got home and everything seemed OK. I later took it to a local trail I usually ride on and a few minutes into my ride my handlebar just dropped down. When I stopped to check it was loose and I could turn it by hand. I ended my ride and the next day took it to race pace in Columbia. There was a night and day difference in the customer service that I received even though they were super busy. They checked over my bike for free, gave me a complimentary tune up and even offered to sell me kickstand. Not sure if they found any other issues with the bike as a wasn't able to speak with the person that...
Read moreAfter reading all the great reviews, I was really surprised at Arrow's customer service. I brought my bike in last Thursday for a new tire and tube after running over some glass, and wanted a new chain and a tune up while it was in the shop. When I came in, the mechanic talked loudly about the condition of my bike like I wasn't there ("What does she want? Yeah, I don't have to look at it to know it needs a new chain. It's gone. Bet this has been in the shed for a few years!"). Only one employee wore a mask. All three employees in the shop seemed to be inconvenienced by my presence to drop off my bike and at they time they had to take to get my contact information.
They told me my bike would be ready on Monday. When I hadn't heard from them on Monday, I called and asked if they had an ETA for pick up. The person at the desk insisted they had emailed me on Saturday (they hadn't), and they never tried to call. They were unapologetic that they did not try to reach me.
The work itself is fine- the gears are great, but the brakes are uneven. I will fix this myself rather than bring it back and feel as weirdly...
Read moreWhile the place is neat and clean. Its just a tad to high brow for me right now.. This an interim activity for which I am unwilling to commit $1200. While I am above Walmart I am we'll below these guys. I read some reviews on other platforms. The guy who helped me was not rude but he was no salesman either. From $0.00 (nothing in stock) to $1200 hybrid to $2400 electric bike its appears they have a demographic into which I clearly don't fit. If I tell you I haven't been on a bike in 40+ years and those prices are your only option, clearly states I'm in the wrong place...but its a nice place. While I was there (approx. 20 mins) I did see 4 repair inquiries. One guy picking up 2 bikes, one guy with repair questions and one guy pulled up on his bike as I was leaving. Who knows once I get a bike maybe I get my stuff serviced here, unless they are high brow repair too. There was some information but nothing that gave me the impression they are geared towards budgeted beginner sales. For now I'll pass noting they are popular but aren't. geared budget minded Seniors but he was polite! (Manners count for...
