If I could give this bowling alley 0 stars I would. This bowling alley has gone down hill. To start the night off we were waiting for 2 lanes because there were 9 of us bowling at lane 8’s table. Mind you there is nobody bowling on lane 8. He came over stomping and asking in a rude demeanor “are you guys bowling or waiting?” We simply stated “we are waiting for our lanes on the wait list.” He stated “then you guys need to get up. We have back tables for waiting.” He is talking to my 77 year old grandparents who just needed a place to rest for a second. About 7 minutes later our names were called for the same empty lane we were sitting at.
Then the same man was working the register. He refused to put bumpers on anyone over 8 when my father went up to the register to add it on my mother in law who has never bowled before. We asked for our money back then and we would go elsewhere and he said “I will make one exception.” We went up to add bumpers the next game on another person who isn’t very good at bowling and he said “No. I will not add bowlers to anyone over the age of 10.” When before he told my father 8. I have been coming here since I was a freshman in high school in 2015 as a bowler from Kings High School and that has never been a rule. This man then said “is she special needs? Then no.” I don’t know what is the big deal about adding bumpers when we are paying for a service that is supposed to be fun.
Another situation was my sister’s whole nail fell off after bowling and she asked for a bandaid to which he refused at first and then replied with “Uhhhh i guess.” He is very unprofessional. We will not be back. Apparently his name is Shawn according to the blonde lady working with him. She stated “the bumpers are only for 6 lbs balls” and that is generic for any bowling alley. I’ve never...
Read moreOur new bowling spot. We have long gone to a different bowling place closer to home I won't bother naming. On a whim we headed to this gem with apprehension because of some reviews and concerns over the curb appeal. We were very pleasantly surprised. We bowled two games with our daughter and it was great. The place was clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. This alley is a breath of fresh air from the dark disgusting alley we used to go to with the 90s carpeting. I don't recall the exact price for two games but I know it wasn't $100 like one reviewer stated. It was conciderably less. The party room while dated and a bit dark also looked like a fun environment for kids and adults if you ever wanted to do a birthday party there. The stools had bowling pin bases which I thought was pretty cool and the tables in the main area were also the house ball holders. The place doesn't look like it's brand new or have streaming lights all over the place but I like that. It's more traditional and the price reflects that. To ownership I say this. Ignore the negative. You guys are doing great. We'll be back for a family date...
Read moreI think that my goal is to get the ratings of this place to drop so low that no one else will want to bowl here ever again. The last time I went here was in June and it's now October, but I still think about the horrendous experience that I had there earlier this year. I was looking forward to going to Mason Bowl again, as it was the alley that I went to all my childhood, but when I went back this summer I was extremely disappointed. My friends and I created our entire plan for the night around going bowling from 9:50-11 as we drove all the way to the Mason Bdubs so we could go straight to Mason Bowl after, but turns out that it was a complete waste of time for us to be there since we couldn't play more than one game anyway (not to mention that the people next to us finished their game just four frames ahead of ours and got to play their next game). Moral of the story, don't go to Mason Bowl if you want to have a fun time while bowling. And if any of the staff members happen to be reading this, don't tell people you are going to be open until 11 and then kick out groups before 10:15...
