It had been a while since I last rode the Racer. But to me, this coaster is VERY underrated. I rode this just recently (Saturday, October 4th, 2025) and it was WAY smoother than I remember it being. It had a lot of airtime moments that were actually surprisingly good. But, there are a couple of downsides on this ride. It's only really this one thing that sucks about it, and it only really applies to the Red Racer. That is on the turn around by the Windseeker. The Red Racer takes that turn so slow, that you feel like a snail going on it, and before that the whole racing concept is actually pretty fair. But that turn around, gives the Blue Racer a massive lead around 99% of the time. Which means the Red Racer loses almost every time. But the most annoying part to me, is when you get beat by the Blue Racer. Every single time Blue beats Red, the whole blue train starts flipping off the red train. In my opinion, this coaster is great! Especially because of its nice airtime moments. But please just don't be that dumb toxic person flipping off the other train, there's no reason to do it, and...
Read moreI actually got a once in a lifetime experience on this ride! It was almost closing and for some reason after me and my friend boarded the train they decided to close the gates! It wasn't until halfway out of the station we realized we were alone! We were on the red train and the blue was closed so we were legit the only 2 people on the entire coaster! As we went up the lift hill me and my friend couldn't believe that this was happening! Our attention was so drawn away from the coaster that we didn't realize how far up we were until we were pulled over the lift hill into the drop! This was the best ride ever! There was hardly any roughness and we were the only two screaming! This will be a memory never forgotten! Thank you...
Read moreThese racing PTC woodies are nothing but pure fun. They're not too intense, so they are great for entire families and the racing feature was quite fun. I found the Red side of Racer to be a bit smoother from recent trackwork. They aren't insane thrill machines, but they are thoroughly enjoyable classic wooden coasters. I hope Kings Island continues to keep these two around for the long haul. The ride operators were fast and had character that added greatly to the experience. If you're looking for airtime, there isn't much on either side. Just floater pretty much. But of course I also grew up loving an also fairly tame wooden coaster so I could appreciate the Racers for what they are. Definitely a must...
