It had been a while since I last rode the Racer. But to me, this coaster is VERY underrated. I rode this just recently (Saturday, October 4th, 2025) and it was WAY smoother than I remember it being. It had a lot of airtime moments that were actually surprisingly good. But, there are a couple of downsides on this ride. It's only really this one thing that sucks about it, and it only really applies to the Red Racer. That is on the turn around by the Windseeker. The Red Racer takes that turn so slow, that you feel like a snail going on it, and before that the whole racing concept is actually pretty fair. But that turn around, gives the Blue Racer a massive lead around 99% of the time. Which means the Red Racer loses almost every time. But the most annoying part to me, is when you get beat by the Blue Racer. Every single time Blue beats Red, the whole blue train starts flipping off the red train. In my opinion, this coaster is great! Especially because of its nice airtime moments. But please just don't be that dumb toxic person flipping off the other train, there's no reason to do it, and...

I actually got a once in a lifetime experience on this ride! It was almost closing and for some reason after me and my friend boarded the train they decided to close the gates! It wasn't until halfway out of the station we realized we were alone! We were on the red train and the blue was closed so we were legit the only 2 people on the entire coaster! As we went up the lift hill me and my friend couldn't believe that this was happening! Our attention was so drawn away from the coaster that we didn't realize how far up we were until we were pulled over the lift hill into the drop! This was the best ride ever! There was hardly any roughness and we were the only two screaming! This will be a memory never forgotten! Thank you...

These racing PTC woodies are nothing but pure fun. They're not too intense, so they are great for entire families and the racing feature was quite fun. I found the Red side of Racer to be a bit smoother from recent trackwork. They aren't insane thrill machines, but they are thoroughly enjoyable classic wooden coasters. I hope Kings Island continues to keep these two around for the long haul. The ride operators were fast and had character that added greatly to the experience. If you're looking for airtime, there isn't much on either side. Just floater pretty much. But of course I also grew up loving an also fairly tame wooden coaster so I could appreciate the Racers for what they are. Definitely a must...

The Racer was the first big roller coaster I've been on back when I barely passed the height check. I remember I cried after the first ride, but then immediately wanted to go back on. I haven't rode in years and decided to again. I used to think this coaster was so tall, but now that I'm tall, it feels short. Where it lacked in height, it made up for it in speed and intensity. It feels like driving on rough road up and down hills. It felt like the coaster was going faster than I could keep up. For that, and the views, it makes it one of my favorites. Quick tip: If you want a smoother ride, lean forward. If you want a thrilling experience, ignore that tip.

This ride is pretty rough, but it's an opening day ride, so how can you not love it. It's great when they're running both trains and you get to interact with the other riders. It'll throw you around, but it's still super fun to do at least once. And the biggest plus is that it never has a line. So if you're looking for something to hop on quick, this is a good option. I'm sure kids would love it.

This coaster resembles the racer 75 at kings dominion. This is a smooth wooden coaster with a lot of airtime hills and good sharp turns. Fun ride especially at night. If u time it good the line is non existent because they run 4 trains sometimes. 2 per side. It is a good family coaster and not just a thrill coaster like Orion or some of the bigger ones. Kids would definitely like this a lot
