Huge park! There are many things to do here. Lots of walking trails, a dog park, pavilions, multiple sports fields, bathrooms, an awesome kids playground, lots of remote areas to relax or picnic. Great place for dogs on leash too. There is a parallel parking practice area set up for those learning to drive, and many of them practice on the park roads as well. This is a great community park and there is often multiple games, reunions, parties happening throughout the week and especially Saturday & Sunday.

Big Skate Park! A little steep for the width of the park , But I guess maui rippers like to go big, I got some pics of young skaters trying to Clear the table tops, I felt like there should be a foam pit, For practice . FULL SIZE Halfpipe

My spouse and I have started a walking regimen because we're not getting any younger or thinner!

THE PARK: It's Maui's largest at 110 acres, bordered by Kaahumanu & Kanaloa Avenues, Kahului Beach Road & Wahinepio Street. There are several ball & soccer fields, a playground, jogging trails, covered picnic pavilions, dog park, restrooms and tons of well-maintained grassy areas. Parking is free via several lots located within the park.

JOGGING PATHS: They're not very challenging in terms of slopes but are great for distance.

BEWARE: A part of the jogging trail that runs behind the Maui Botanical Gardens is a little shady due to thick brush on either side. I noticed a homeless dwelling and learned of an unprovoked attack by a female vagrant a few months back. Other than that, the majority of the jogging trails are safe, with moderate hills and benches along the way.

FACT: Some folks are known to cruise in the park and listen to music coming from the MACC (Maui Arts & Cultural Center) which is right next door. Now that's cheap seating not even I would do, LOL.

OVERALL: Lots of open space, nice ocean views from some areas, free concert spot if you can use your...

Grounds people are helpful but people who uses the bathroom treat it like a rubbish dump and the kids who are not supervise draw graffiti on walls and break thing.. It is so sad the homeless people who are drug addict or alcoholics are using it for showers us disable people are just as nasty ... I think if had out food showers with walls that the bathroom might stay cleaner... Don't Want To Make Their Jobs Harder BUT THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME HARD WORK ... PEOPLE PLEASE KEEP OUR PARK BATHROOM CLEAN... MAHALO..... Why is all the bathroom with out toilet paper and no paper towel holder and no hand soap... and kids from boys and girls Club distroy the bathroom? why kids it's forever one that use it.the bad thing is disable people who are homeless for a certain reason are try to clean up and you brake the paper towel holder and soap dispensers we as people of Maui need to watch the kids and teenager who ride skateboard and play sports. there too... Take care of thing and stop playing water and breaking things.. Your parents and taxpayer...

This could be such a nice park if the County would plant more shade trees, like monkey pods. The sun blazes down and the wind rips through the park, especially in the upper area where the two pavilions are.

The pavilions need work—they are pretty grungy, as are the restrooms. Soap in the restrooms would be a good addition. There is also a lot of trash blowing around. I’ve been there when there were NO trash cans... have no idea what happened to them.

And then there’s the homeless issue.... and...
