Just moved nearby and stumbled upon what seemed to be a lovely little market. Happened to have my dog in the car and being summer, did not want to leave her in the car, so I looked for a sign that said no dogs allowed and did not see one, but still stayed only on the outside areas of the market. My father and I were looking for some hanging flower baskets and they were all in terrible condition mind you, but while walking through the garden area, a cat came out of nowhere and attacked my dog. We brushed it off the first time and kept walking away. The cat ran towards us and would not stop attacking my dog. My dad stepped in to defend my dog and got really bad scratches and two bites. My dad is gushing blood at this point, so I walk into the store and politely ask for paper towels because my dad just got attacked by a cat. The associate was extremely unenthused and asked which cat. I told her the black one. She said oh it’s because she just had babies. That’s why there’s signs everywhere. We asked for her to point us to a sign because we were looking for one when we got here, and if that were the case we certainly would not have brought the dog out. She could not find a sign and said they must have been removed. She made us feel like it was our fault that my dad was severely attacked. We asked if the cat was up to date on shots and she said probably not. Do not...

I made the mistake of doing business here. I ordered and paid for 20 bales of pine needles on a Saturday afternoon. I was told they would not deliver that afternoon or on Sunday. I requested a delivery time after 5 on Monday due to some landscape material thefts in my area and I was told that was no problem. No delivery or call comes from the store on Monday. Tuesday morning still no call so I call them. I am told that there was an emergency and then I was told there was a mechanical issue. The person on the phone can tell me no more or if I will even get my delivery on Tuesday. Later I get a call because they say the person that ran my credit card messed up. I trust them and give them my expiration date and security number off of my card. THEY RUN MY CARD FOUR MORE TIMES. Wednesday Amy calls and claim they STILL have not been paid. I pull up my statement online and give Amy the exact time that the payment came out of my account on Monday and it shows the Saturday sales date. I think this is done. Half an hour later I have two more messages from Amy. She says they still can't find the transaction and that if I do not provide them my bank statements that she will file a police report against me. She then cusses at me and hangs up. I wish I could give zero stars and I pray she will file that report...

The Mauldin open Air Market is owned by Lil country girl that was raised right here in the south. She being a businesswoman has had to fight the city of Mauldin from putting a road through her roadside stand which would have been and object travesty of Justice. She has fought to give us fresh fruits and vegetables for over 20 years and treats every person like family. If you want the best fresh vegetables from all over South Carolina, Georgia and Florida you will visit this stand... Wonderful people..wonderful old country food and the best boiled peanuts around.. plus a little candy store to make the kids Happy... also all the homemade candies homemade jams and jellies you can eat😀😀Happy cow milk, Happy Cow butter which is a total organic Farm to Table extravaganza, plus Happy Cow makes the best cottage cheese, homemade butter and old fashioned hoop cheese you can imagine...all can be found at the Mauldin Open...

While enjoying a day off, doing some pre thanksgiving shopping I stopped by the Mauldin Open Air Market. There is a little of everything there. They had several varieties of fall squash, along with zucchini and yellow squash. Turnip greens by the box for $21 and all kinds of breads, jams, jellies and apple butter. Fresh fruits like apples, oranges, bananas and small watermelons. Happy Cow products are also sold at the market along with hoop cheese. It was a cold morning and the wood stove was burning making it warm and cozy. Come check the market out if you haven’t visited. I’m sure that you will find some thing to take home.

For fresh local produce visit this lil gem. Products: everything you can dream of and more from Happy Cow (milk, AND that irresistible CHOCOLATE milk too, cheese and butter), all manner of fruits and veggies, dried beans, grits, even some flowers, plus some baked and meat products from local farmers so that you can truly dine farm to table! Service: Really nice and friendly Location: Easy access from Hwy 385 and 276 Hours: Looks like someone is there to "man the stand" from 8-8 daily with a midmorning Sunday open time in case you need something on the way home from church :)
