Dino’s Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Mauldin

I wouldn’t recommend eating here (do as you please I’m just here to tell my experience) because if you have an issue with your food you won’t get your refund plus terrible service when you raise concerns.I have eaten here for years with my parents and today their was some miscommunication with my food which is fine because things happen you know so I called to express my concerns and asked for a refund.The man over the phone got angry with me because he assumed my tone was directed at him when YES OF COURSE I’m frustrated because I’m hungry and my food was messed up but I did not cuss or get disrespectful even with the outburst at the end.I called because mother took it back and instead of them remaking my plate they thought the best thing to do was give me the messed up plate back with some bacon (which was also cold) and I guess that was their best solution to come up with which is incredibly lazy.Why would you fix an already messed up plate by giving me the exact same plate but with bacon added??Anyways as I was on the phone with this guy (didn’t get his name because he was yapping off at the mouth)I was told to “take it up with my mother” which I indeed did (Finding out there was miscommunication between me and her but I didn’t even get to explain that).I don’t know what me spending MY OWN MONEY has to do with my mother cause yeah you spoke to her and yeah yall came up with a “solution” but like I was trying to explain that solution was lazy and I just wanted my money I didn’t want an argument that wasn’t my intention because I EAT THERE ALL THE TIME(like put yourself in my shoes would you want a new plate or the same one with added bacon??)My tone was frustration yes but my frustration wasn’t directed towards anyone helping me over the phone as I expressed this to whoever this guy was that I was talking to the call got out of hand because of how I was being spoken to.Long story short I don’t care if you eat here just know that your service is going to be good only if you except the bull they give you.I will no longer spend money here and will be disputing with my bank since I was advised not to go up there because of how the phone call went.It sucks because this restaurant is my childhood and I had faith that they were gonna understand and help me but that’s not what I got !!Anyways good luck and I’ll be praying for the guy over the phone because he was clearly was having a bad day.All I wanted was my money it didn’t need...

purchased a Philly steak sandwich plate which fries and slaw with a tea on my lunch break on 11/02/2022 at 3:22pm (via drivethru) on my way back to work. I began eating when I got back to work. I noticed there was hair and lint in the bottom of my plate. I called at 3:45pm and let them know there was hair and lint in my plate. The lady that took my order stated they would only remake my plate. I told her I would come back after work. I got off at 7pm. There was also hair in one of the French fries not pictured. So I arrived with the remainder of my plate and showed them my plate and showed a girl at the counter who called another guy to the front who then got the manager/owner. I told him I would prefer my money back bc I will not be eating at his restaurant again. He then stated that he did not know what I did with the plate after I left and I could only get another plate. I told him I called them immediately upon noticing the hair and lint. He then stated it doesn’t matter I had left the restaurant. I told him I would never eat there again and I don’t want a new plate. I then stated and I now remember why I stopped eating here years ago (unpleasant experience). The owner became irate and began yelling which was unprofessional and lacked customer service. The owner then yanks the plate from me and tells me to get out of his restaurant and threatens to call the police on me. I told him I will never eat there again anyway and it’s not a problem. The owner is still yelling at me that he’s offended and I told him I was offended that you serve me a plate with hair and lint in it. The owner totally lacked professionalism and customer svc. I do not recommend unless you want lint and hair in your food. FYI… my hair is not...

I recently went to Dino's Family Restaurant and will never return nor will I recommend this establishment. The waitress asked us if everything was ok to which I responded no my hamburger is terrible. Can you please exchange it for a grilled cheese. Figured you have to work really hard to mess up a grilled cheese. Wrong that was not so great either. The FF's we're under cooked, the coleslaw was yuck, my husband's corn bread muffin was so dry you could choke. We went up to the counter and told the young man we will pay for everything but the hamburger (which they didn't take off the total Bill). Then manager or whoever came over and told us to never come back (not that we would) and said in 23 years he's never had a complaint. Not likely. And who tells a customer to never come back? Especially in front of other customers. Don't have your waitress ask if everything is OK if you can't handle the Truth. They also have menus with no prices and when you ask they ignore you. TERRIBLE FOOD AND IGNORANT MANAGER !!!! Unless you have no taste buds and want to spend your hard earned money on terrible food. Stay Away From Dino's Family Restaurant.
