Planet Fitness — Attraction in McAllen

Been a member for a little less than a month. Had such a great experience the whole time until today. In the span of a few minutes my whole experience was ruined. A young lady who was cleaning the area came up to me and my son and his friends (2) and didn't introduce herself or anything. Just said, in a cold tone "Are you all using the same machine? Its only 2 or 3 per machine." Mind you, this is our 10th time in about 2 weeks. Same group of 4. Many employees have walked by over previous visits (9) and said nothing. On top of it. There is only one calf extension machine. I pulled up the black card member rules and there is nothing on a limit of people per machine. Just being mindful. We were working with a purpose between sets, and ensured we kept it moving. Her approach could use some customer service and the rules that are being "enforced" should be available to see. Not just at the whim of a single employee. On top of that she didn't say "bye" like their other employee did as we were leaving. I guess being polite is only at her discretion.

Overall gym is clean and most employees have been courteous...

Clearly I don't belong at this location, and grateful it's not my home gym. When I went this afternoon ,I was not greeted and okay no worries I let it slide.however, when I asked to tan the girl with straight hair was rude and said we charge for eye wear. Now I was surprised,smiles, and said oh my location doesn't charge...and she said"like I said we charge .81 cents" coworkers a male and another female looked over . I said okay I'll use the hydrobed and honestly my nerves were bad so it made me want to leave . To make matters worse , when I called to ask her her name ( name tags were not worn) the lady asked me why I needed her name and I told her for a review and she said, but why and left me in the line ....never again . Y'all please go to edinburg if possible because their customer service is beyond exceptional, plug ins Ins every unit, and even have spray tan...best location in the valley I promise you(even holiday decorations I was impressed)take note McAllen...

I wanted to show you guys some appreciation. Thank you for always making me feel welcome, I hated gyms but when I tried Planet Fitness, I loved it! Thanks to Chris for talking to me and making me feel like I’m part of the team. He is an amazing Trainer and person to talk to! Everyone actually sanitizes unlike other gyms!! People re-rack and everything is actually in order! Planet fitness is truly a Judgment Freezone. Nobody makes you feel uncomfortable and nobody stares at you in a weird way for doing a different workout. The team members always make sure everything is in place. Everyone is always cleaning and keeping the gym a safe environment especially with Covid guidelines. I’m sad I am no longer a member, but this gym will always be my go-to! Yes there is limited weights.. but I rather come to a gym that is clean and friendly rather than a larger gym with arrogant people. Thank you once again...
