Normally, I’d have nothing but good things to say about this GameStop location, its workers, and the products here but today is quite the opposite. This morning, my girlfriend and I went in when they opened to trade in a few of our old Switch games to put towards a preorder for the new Mario Party coming out next week, and pay off the rest, so we could pick up the game seamlessly next week. While she looked around, I stood at the counter and went through the motions as usual. The two workers seemed fairly friendly, starting off their day, however, wires seemed to have gotten crossed because he’d taken my trade-ins, told me he was bad at “mental math” and handed me a receipt, without taking payment towards the rest of my owed balance on the game despite me mentioning several times that I’d planned to put whatever the traded in games were worth towards this game, plus pay off the balance on top of that, while my girlfriend looked around the store. -obviously it doesn’t take multiple people to trade in two games, and pay off another one, right? He walked off, and since I do poorly in awkward social situations, I went to check on my girlfriend. She hadn’t found anything she wanted. So, I went to see if I could do the thing we had come there for, paying off the video game. In the time it took walking across the store from her back to the counter, the male worker had sprayed cologne, which had triggered my girlfriend into having a severe asthma attack and forced her to leave the store. I, myself, am severely physically disabled, and I too suffered from a severe medical scare from the cologne that was sprayed in the store. When I mentioned that people are allergic or cannot be around perfume or cologne due to health issues, he laughed. After we pick up the game next week, I’m not sure we’ll be returning to this location despite liking the other workers. It's funny, he’d mentioned the new call of duty when we walked in. I thought it was called modern warfare, not...
Read moreso this is how Gamestop warranty works when you buy a brand new system. You buy brand new system with the warranty and a few games. Total coming to over $500.00. They tell you if anything happens, anything at all, just bring it back and we will get you a brand new system no questions asked. They gladly take your money and you go on your way. Then when your $500 system doesnt work due to not being able to download anything. You call and the Manager who was very nice tells me they are completely sold out and i could only bring it in and return it for warranty but they will just mail me a refurbished system. so long story short, you buy a new system and then they dont even honor the warranty for another new system. what your options are wait till your warranty runs out on your system or get a refurbished one. DO NOT BUY THE NEW PLAYSTATION OR XBOX THAT ARE COMING OUT FROM GAMESTOP. they will take your money and then give you the run around till the...
Read moreI called to see if they bought older games from PS1 and Dreamcast. They said yes but when I got there with a full bag of stuff, they didn't want hardly any of it. They could have been more clear on the phone that they do buy vintage but only few things. He made it sound like they bought it all so a waste of a trip Then, I recently was gifted a PS4 and I went here to get a few games. The employee said it could play PS3 games but after taking it home it was clear it didn't. I got busy with work so i didn't get back till a few weeks when I was told they were not going to take the game back after they were the ones who said it would work. Then tried to sell me on the gimmick membership they push everyone to get. overpriced and I'll just wait a day or two on shipping and...
