If you are into sushi and happen be north, this place is for you. They have one of the best rolls I've had in a long, long time. The rice to fish/ingredients ratio is amazing --rolled so thin, you know it was done like how it should.

Traditional sushi maki rolls are not supposed to be rolled in an inch thick of rice, but so many places make it that way to give the illusion of a bigger piece while sacrificing how sushi maki is suppose to be and fill you up on carbs. The taste and flavor should be in the subtle ingredients inside the maki and not because it was drenched with sauce. This place did everything right when it came to the maki.

They also had flavorful and good balance of broth in their udon, and their Lo Mein and Rainbow fried rice was tasty with surprising, chicken that was tender and not over cooked like most places. They were surprisingly adept with Japanese and Chinese flavors and their menu was impressive.

Their biggest area of opportunity could be customer service. Our waitress didn't seem too friendly or eager to service and was in a rush but other than that, no other issues so it didn't stop us from having a good meal. Asked to speak to the manager, as the meal was nothing we thought it would be and instead he sent one of his youngest employees (who did not even serve us) to deal with it. We politely explained that none of us had eaten the meal because all of it was drowned in salt and soy sauce. Those were the only two ingredients we were able to taste in every entree. We offered to pay for the service of the hibachi and even the two meals we had eaten some from to give it a chance, however the manager hid in the kitchen and told us we could get a ten percent discount. We had no problem paying for what we had eaten and the service but they told us we had to pay also for all the food we did not touch. I’ve worked in the food industry and if a customer is unhappy with their meal, we usually try very hard to make it up to them. The overall experience was uncomfortable. My and my HISPANIC family wanted to give this place a try. The food is delicious, no doubt about it. I would highly recommend. BUT the waitress and a lady at the front kept looking at us, we just ignored it and ordered the food. We started to notice that the waitress treated the other tables with more amiability than us and the tune of her voice changed when she was at our table. We assumed that the lady and the waitress were RACIST. And just because of that we lost the appetite and felt disgusted by the situation. Right when we left we did gave her a $24 tip, she just took the money in front of us and left, not even a thank you. The other day we came by and had no more problems.
