Veteran's Memorial Park — Attraction in McHenry

It needs work. Especially on the pavilion. I remember when my dad and I redid the landscaping for the city. My dad lost a brother in WWII. He wanted to honor all the veterans that sacrifice their lives. I was very honored in making my dad's wish come true. We donated all of or companies labor in my dad's name. It's the old site of the McHenry County Courthouse. It should be the pride spot of the City of McHenry. Thursday's farmers market and band concerts brings folks and their families together. Nice small park located in Mchenry, Brings people from all around together whether its for Pokemon GO, the weekly farmers market and especially Music at the Park! Sadly signs are posted all around the park saying No Dogs Allowed, even though several people walk their dogs through the park the signs either need to be enforced or trashed because dogs should definitely be allowed in...

Ok playground - maybe could get a half hour to 40 mins of play time there if there are other kids. Huge pavilion and rows of newer, clean benches so anyone can have a shaded spot for lunch.
