So I have to say that first of all, at least 75% of our issue was with the server. I absolutely cannot believe the owners are fine with her talking to customers the way she does. I don't recall her name but if the owners are reading this review they should absolutely know who I'm talking about, or at least i would hope so. It all started when my scallop risotto meal came out. The description said jumbo scallops, but these were medium scallops are best. Jumbo's should be wider than a 3 tine fork, and I shouldn't be able to eat a jumbo scallop in 1 bite. Next, they were overcooked and rubbery, I tried 2 just in case it was only the first one that was over. Then lastly, the cauliflower risotto was just plain terrible. It had zero flavor, and the cauliflower was nearly raw and was crunchy. So, obviously I didn't want this meal, but when I pointed out these issues (I will add that I said it much nicer than the way I'm describing it here, in a review I just tell it how it is but in person I try to be nice and certainly not rude) the server got so defensive and argumentative you would think that she was the one that cooked it. After that she was super snippy and short with us. She went away for a long time and didn't come back to our table. I ran out of drink and never got a refill, thankfully they give water otherwise I would have had nothing. I switched to the prime rib sandwich, which was really good and tasty. My wife's salad was good, no issue there, I'm just not sure what was going on with the scallop meal but it was just downright bad all around. If it wasn't for the server, this would be a 4 star review, but that was so bad it literally drops it 2 stars for me. To further back up the terrible server evidence, the people at the table next to us had asked for several items once they got their meals. She brought the cocktail sauce but then left for awhile. When she returned awhile later the one gentleman mentioned the items they still needed, and she blurted out super rude-like that she could only carry so many things at a time. She had clearly forgotten about them but got so offended that he pointed it out. It was completely ridiculous, the man was so stunned he didn't know what to say and just looked over at his wife as if to non-verbally say what server talks to customers like that? That pretty...
Read moreUpdate: went for lunch. Again, food was good, but service was poor. Don't know why they only have the bartender, as the place was relatively full. If they had a second server, maybe service would match the food.
Had read a bunch of good reviews, but unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired.
Ate lunch here, and sat at the bar. Waited probably 5 minutes or so and the lady behind the counter had not approached me. Another staff, A male, noticed I had been sitting, asked for my drink order, and gave me a menu.
After another stretch of waiting I ordered a serving of Fried Mozzarella and a Snapper Burger with Onion Rings.
I've talked enough about the waiting, suffice it to say there was no hustle during any phase of the lunch.
The mozzarella Sticks were pretty good. The right amount of breading and hot inside.
The burger came out with french fries rather than onion rings. The burger was decent, although it had some bitterness to it, maybe it was from searing or the lettuce, but I couldn't figure it out.
From the original drink order approximately 1 hour later she finally brought my second Pepsi. I had just finished my meal finally.
Overall, doubt that I will return, but maybe it was just a bad day there. I preferred the service and food at Dad's Garage...
Read moreIt was between this and Black & Bleu.. and I think I chose wrong. What drew me in was their Killer BLT which was anything but... There are three components to a good BLT sandwich Crispy bacon which this was not... In fact I have deemed them to have "WAB"s or Weak A** Bacon. Even if they had added more bacon which the term killer might indicate, it probably wouldn't have helped. Crunchy lettuce. This is the most overlooked component of the BLT. Snappers chooses to use a mixed green, which has no crunch. An iceberg lettuce, or even butter lettuce would have been a better choice. The bread. The killer BLT is on Texas toast... And yes I did get what you might call Texas toast by its size, but it was soggy and not from Mayo. This was an upsetting piece of bread. Any one of these three components would have made up for the other two, and I wouldn't be here complaining... But there is nothing killer about this sandwich.
To add, nothing special was noted for any of the other...
