Owner was very rude and apionated. I call on Thursday about blue claw crabs. I was wanting to know if they had them. A employee told me they come in on Friday. I ask him if I need to come in on Friday and pick them up or could I wait until Saturday. I was having my wife's birthday party on Saturday. I was wanting them to hold 3 dozen for me. He said for me just call back on Saturday at 9am and there would be no problem getting my order. But he wouldn't hold them for me until Saturday. So when I call Saturday I spoke to the owner and he gave me a big lecture on how crabs are a living organism and they would never have told me they would have large male crabs on Saturday. I explained that I was told to on Saturday at 9am so they could hold them for me. Anyway he put me on hold as I heard him wait on a few customers than the phone disconnected. I had to call back several times before he answered. Luckily I was finally able to old my crabs. So I didn't understand why he gave me such a lecture if he had the crabs anyway. So when I pick up the crabs they wasn't large males. The were a mix of male and females and we're at best medium. At this point I didn't say anything and just wanted to pay for them and leave. But before I did the owner wanted to explain about how crabs are a live and they would have never told me they they could guarantee be crabs on Saturday because they come in on Friday. I said I'm sorry but there was a lack of communication somewhere. I just couldn't believe how pompous he was especially being the owner. Unfortunately I will have to go back there if I ever want crabs again because I don't think there's many other places I can get them. I just will get...

BUYER BEWARE!! WARNING!!! Was in town visiting my daughter when I came to seafood direct and spent 200$ for a special family seafood dinner. Wahoo, Tuna, flounder, shrimp, and lobster. Not even 4 hours after dinner the entire family was horribly sick. It felt like a bad movie one by one they all started to fall. Worst food poisoning I Personally have ever had in 55 years and I eat and grew up around a lot of seafood. The only family member would did not get sick was the one who only ate lobster and shrimp. They say it's fresh fish but there's no way. It ruined the last of our family vacation together. we lost two days sleeping and not far from the rest room. I've been here before but this will be my last time. I wanted to go back and demand for a refund on the pricey fish that's how upset I was to see my family in agony but I was too weak myself and knew they wouldn't honor this. For a while, I really believed in this place but lately, a series of bitter lemons (and not the ones they include in your paper bag type) made me lose faith. First it was a whole local pompano fish I purchased, I went directly home after purchase as usual after purchasing seafood, but once cooked, the ammonia smell and flavor was a total disappointment! Of course, I had to toss it, so I wasted that money. I still gave it one more chance but in my next purchase, the same thing happened with shrimp, this time they smelled and tasted like bleach and when I opened the paper bag and saw the 2.5lb squid package, found out the squid is not coming from Florida, nor even the US, but from China as disclosed over the phone by one of the staff when directly asked about the squid origin.
