The loudest building in Memphis! Living here has been an absolute nightmare. There is construction noise, fire alarms, lack of electricity, water, and hot water. The hot water has been coming out brown. My unit is not soundproofed and I have hear the neighbors movements, children, dogs, doors slamming, exact conversations, and their music/movies. The elevators are too few, slow and often broken, so be sure to leave 20 minutes early to get anywhere. Parking is a nightmare. My apartment was covered in construction dust when I moved in, but they expect it to be professionally cleaned to avoid fines when moving out. There is water leaking from the water pipes and ceiling, and the appliances and air conditioning break down frequently. I submitted many requests to maintenance and management but they either ignore the issue or the same thing breaks again. Con artists cornered me in the elevator asking for money, and multiple times thieves have rattled the door trying to get in to my unit. I have called security but they did not wish to address this beyond their normal patrols of the hallways.
Packages for all residents are left in a huge pile and you have to sort through about 60 to find yours.
It’s very expensive to live here and the service really stinks. Like most other residents I plan...
Read moreI love Crosstown Concourse! Their slogan is Your Concourse, and I really appreciate how they have been so intentional about including everyone, from their programs, the business in the buildings, the emphasis on holistic health and wellness, and the open spaces that are free for anyone to use to get together and to collaborate and fellowship. Today was the first time for me to go there since March. Although there were not many things open, there were still lots of people there hanging out and spending time with one another. The one thing that was open was Farm Burger, which is now my favorite place to get a burger. I ordered a "build your own" burger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake. All of it was delicious! I then walked around the exterior of the building and just marvelled at the beauty of it. This building sat empty and neglected for so long, a target of vandals and full of broken windows and broken dreams. It now stands proud and fully renovated and activated, a beacon in a part of town long left out of the promises of new development. To me, Crosstown Concourse, MY Concourse, is more than a building. It is a dream come true, and I salute the brave people who worked so hard to make that...
Read moreI Have Been To Concourse several times and it's always a pleasure, until today, a group of my friends and I had went to the second floor to meet up with a friend of ours who is throwing an event in March, so we all met up there to practice our walk. Before we could even get a chance to start, one of the security guards came over and told us we couldn't stay on the 2nd floor since it's reserved for events only, so my friend politely thanked security and suggested everyone move to another floor, then security proceeds to tell my friend that we had to leave the building completely because we hadn't paid to be there. We had all driven a long way so we wound up having to practice our walk outside in 40 degree weather! It was really upsetting because I have been there several times and I have never been told that we had to pay, so I'm really disappointed in how...
