Several pros/cons at this place, so I'll just make a list. Pros- *clean rooms, pretty nice setup w/ fridge, microwave, 2 full size beds, (queens would have been preferred but no biggie.) *literally about 1/4 mile from Graceland, so we walked there in 5 minutes. *The hotel is very "Elvis" w/ the decor, pink color, lots of murals, pictures, and the guitar-shaped pool. Graceland was our primary reason for visiting, so that's why I chose this hotel. My daughter is a big Elvis fan, so she loved it. *the price on Expedia was about $450 bucks total for 5 nights, which is pretty cheap these days. *very friendly cleaning staff and front desk folks *free "breakfast" (kinda) and coffee, more on that w/ the cons Cons- *the room wasn't quite sealed up, so the A/C had to be on full blast to avoid it getting muggy inside. There was a huge gap under the closed door that let light, air, sounds from outside in, I had to put a rolled-up towel to block it, (the picture doesn't do it justice, it was about a 1/2 inch). *the window had a blackout shade (Elvis star pic) which is great for sleeping in, but there were no blinds/curtains, so it's either total dark, or let in some light in the daytime and be totally exposed to everyone walking by... *not sure if it was the A/C seeping thru the floor, but there was a constant wet spot in the middle of the room, (pic) that water would squish up when you stepped on it, so we had to try to avoid it. And we were on the 1st floor, so this was odd.... *the free breakfast highlight was the waffle maker, which I always love to use. Other than that, it was plain white bread to toast, or Little Debbie Honey Buns. the cereal was only Cheerios or Rice Krispies, which is healthy, but good luck getting your kids to eat that... They also had yogurts and some refrigerated mini-sausage biscuits to microwave yourself, but I didn't try those. The 1st day the juice machine was nothing but water, but they fixed it after that. There were also those tiny little ants that are common in that part of the country, on the countertop each day, we just had to work around them... Overall, not a luxury spot, but not any huge deal breakers, the location was super convenient as we traveled all over Memphis. The pool area was clean, although the pool itself was about what you'd expect for an outdoor pool, that didn't appear to be cleaned regularly. Not filthy, but had some dirt/leaves in it. My kids didn't care...

I only give them 5 stars for the location and price, which is very close to Graceland and very affordable, I went there for a few days with some family members. Very disappointed. The first time I stayed here was in 2014, the place was very cleaned, the breakfast was superb, they had a variety of bagels, butter and jelly and other pastries. When I went back in April 2023, there was only a waffle mixture to pour on the waffle maker, some coffee and hot water for a tea. Another customer complained about the same thing. Keep in mind that there is no coffee shop nearby, another complaint I have is that the towels that we got were stained. The people who run this place are Hindus (nothing against them) but they act like they don't care about the customers. When I went there to ask a question, the guy at the front desk was busy with this phone. I hope they change management, and the place will get back to be like it was before.

Ive stayed here twice. Three recommendations: Get Marlowes BBQ for dinner, check out Graceland and be careful. The area around the hotel is not safe. I didnt feel safe at all during my last stay because some guy tried to rob me at knife point while i walked a block away to get something from the convenience store. The first visit we ate at Marlowes, had a blast, graceland, had a blast no problem. Came back a year later and it just didnt feel the same. Travel in groups, be aware of your surroundings. The woman at the front desk told me a horrible story about another instance just like mine. I wish the government would step in and help Memphis out, they need some better industry to boost the economy in the area. If you are going to stay in Memphis, this hotel is great

Surprised that the home office of the franchise did not respond to my review! How you can have a location in such a disrepaired state is unbelievable! This motel should be top notch and having people waiting to stay here! Bullet holes in the door and the gangster theme are not inviting!

Right next to Graceland! Closest hotel to Elvis, but it is Heartbreak Hotel!

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed! There is no front desk…there is a walk up window. Should have been the first sign of caution! We supposedly got the last room. With several floors of rooms there were only about 15 cars…

Let me share…we were down back…it felt unsafe…first thing I saw as the door was opened…a bullet hole in the door that went straight through! Not making it up! I have pictures. It wa dirty. If it is being sanitized, I do not know with what!

The beds looked very clean with the white sheets. But covers were not long enough to pull up and cover up. A bonus…mattress and box springs were still in the shipping plastic! Helps prevent bed bugs! Because of the rest of the room, I could not sleep in my pajamas, I wore my close I had traveled in.

There was a dead bug on the floor!

I couldn’t use the shower. Ugh! The tub was all chipped up. The bathroom was so small the door almost hit into the tub. The door looked newer as it appeared to have been majorly damaged as the door frame was all busted up. The hinges both top and bottom were rusted and the door did not fit so it did not close. A hint to the owner…have that door open out because if anyone ever collapses in the bathroom they will never ever get the door open to get their body out!

The refrigerator was dirty inside and out. Had a microwave but we didn’t use it as was the same for coffee maker both were not the cleanest.

The sink was outside of the bathroom. It had a faucet that moved around when you used the water. The sink had a huge gap between the sink and the counter.

There are stains on ceiling near the sink…I don’t know, looked like blood!

Let’s get back to the entry the bullet hole went straight through the door. The entry door did not fit the opening…at night the light shined through! Didn’t appear secure! The drapery has holes that appear to be peep holes to the outside!

It was very noisy most of the night with music blaring and cars reffing in the asking lot.

Because of the location, Wyndham should help the owner invest in the property. As the closest hotel to Graceland venues it could be a real money maker! Wake up Wyndham this place is giving you a bad name. I could only give 1 star as there is no way to do 0 star. (I am not a whiner as I stayed the next night in a La Quinta by Wyndham that should be 10 stars!)

And as for location, although a lot of restaurants around, many were closed, or drive thru only. Not a good selection.

Do not stay at this hotel. It is truly a heart break hotel and those lurking around could be doing the...

Please go take a picture of Days Inn now. It looks nothing like this. The 1st thing that we saw on Saturday was wires sticking out of the wall where the smoke alarm was supposed to be. Went to office and let them know. They told us someone would fix it in the morning. We had to explain to them that it's against the law to not have a working smoke alarm and we were not staying in a room without one and they are not suppose to rent out rooms when there is not an alarm. They gave us another room, but not until we stood there telling them we are not going to stay in that room. It was definitely a discussion that should not have taken place. Having to explain that our lives are at stake. Who does that ? Someone that needs help understanding you don't do that. Until Tuesday of that week, we had to go to office to get clean towels. No one cleaned the room, emptied the trash or anything. Found that when they gave us another room, it wasn't changed in the computer, so some that worked there didn't know we were there. Grass not cut, swimming pool not usable, stuff laying everywhere. Looks like a dump site. Breakfast was a waffle, no butter, just syrup, surprised they had that. There was a choice of apple juice or orange drink. That was it. A lady at the office got a couple of girls to come clean the bathroom on Tuesday and they came again Wednesday. We appreciated her very much. This place needs help. I can understand that this is not a very tidy place to work, it shows and so sad. It's in a great location for Elvis Graceland. Needs lots of work and help. One of the tours we went on picked us up at the hotel and brought us back. He told us that they don't get many calls anymore for this Days Inn and we told him that we can see why. We didn't have any trouble at the hotel or anywhere we went around this area. It's very noticable that on Elvis Presley Blvd that in the area we stayed there is trash all over the place, which includes abandoned couch, tires and etc. that is until you start heading out of Memphis to Mississippi. Totally different look from just a few blocks away. Well kept homes, lawns. There is so much in this area that needs help. Inspection of Days Inn needs to take place. I do not like giving them such a low rating, but I would not stay here again with so much wrong going on. They need help. It just needs a chance.

Here's a few pictures to...
