Memory Lane Inn & Suites Memphis — Hotel in Memphis

I'm in my room right now and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite. The price is right. It's close to my event. Even though it's obvious that the hotel is older, everything is clean and works properly. There are a few minor signs of wear on items that are expensive to replace. The room is huge-sitting area with loveseat and coffee table, work desk with comfy chair, king bed, dresser, huge vanity area, normal hotel bathroom. All the amenities-good AC (important in TN!), big TV, microwave, fridge, iron and board, coffeemaker, hairdryer. Yes, the area seems run down but that doesn't mean it's dangerous. There are places I've seen that are way more scary. After arriving I went to buy the toothbrush I forgot to bring and a nice young man who didn't even work there offered to help. I bought some very good food at a little local place and everyone there was so polite. The food was good too. I would happily...

Got a room that was extremely hot. There were older people walking up and down the halls to make sure you don’t have a single visitor otherwise they will lock you out of your room without notice. We didn’t stay after seeing the creepy old people walking the halls. When we asked for a refund they said something about us being vulgar about us being Americans. Ummm 🤔 my forefathers were slaves so I didn’t come to America on my own accord. If you have an issue with America you should probably go back to where they came from since you’re here by choice not by force. They said they would refund my money and I ended up having to call my bank so they could reverse the transaction. Why stay in America if you hate Americans so much. I’m black and throughout all the problems of being black in America, I’m still proud to call myself...

booked over 8 months ago ..||Arrived at the hotel and paid up front for 4 nights stay then i asked the guy on the desk when is breakfast available in the morning only to be told NO BREAKFAST!! so I went into the reception again the following morning to speak to a manager ..No manager !! only an indian woman who was very arrogant and also informed me that breakfast have not been served in over 3 months and they informed Bookings.com when the change happened .. well bookings.com were not informed and were as surprised as I was.||Do not book this hotel if you are working breakfast into your budget whilst on your travels.||Just for the record .. THEY DO NOT HAVE BREAKFASTS AT THIS DUMP !!! ||Staff attitudes sucks and the whole operation is run by indians ... wheres...
