Rock N Roll Cafe — Restaurant in Memphis

If you’re looking for a breakfast spot in Memphis, this ain’t it! Service was painfully slow and food was a huge miss!

It took over an hour for ALL of our food to come to the table. We were served two people at a time which lead to awkward waiting and some finishing their meal before others even arrived!

Three of our party had half of their meal served (no hasbrowns) and had to wait another 15 mins to receive the rest. By which time they had finished everything else.

The waitstaff explained they only had one cook in, however never once went into the kitchen to help.

We should have realized the service would be bad when our coffee and water took 15 mins to get to the table!!

(All this being understandable if they were swamped, but there was only one other couple in the whole restaurant.)

We were given a 25% discount which barely dented the overall bill since they add a 18% tip to orders of 6 people or more.

$70 USD for cold food and slow service ... I’d call this a miss!

Stopped in for taste of local food close to Graceland today. Caught traffic in between breakfast & lunch, so we were about the only patrons there. Were greeted genuinely & graciously by hostess & seated quickly. Young waitress named Hannah took time to offer us both breakfast & lunch menus & at our request, offered suggestions. After placing our order, she told us to browse the souvenir shop as they prepared our meal. Once again, the lady in there showed genuine friendliness & answered questions we had about lodging & tourist sites. After our wonderful Western Omelette, we were offered to leave our vehicle there (due to time of day) to save costly Graceland parking fees. We strolled down few blocks, enjoyed our tour of Graceland, and returned (without concern for our vehicle, as we knew they kept an eye on their parking lot), and...

We were all optimistic with the prior ratings but when we decided to give it a try for lunch today, service was extremely slow our drinks did not arrive until the meal was first brought out and then they realized it.. and the fact that there was only one other small group eating at the time. I don't imagine how they were able to be as slow as they were and unattentive. Very disappointing from coming and to try with the optimistic outlook. Maybe it was just an off day. Maybe I should have mentioned to the waiter when he asked how everything was but by that point I just felt.........
