I recently tried to order ahead online for pickup using The Habit app. My order wasn’t able to be completed after multiple attempts at changing the required ETA during checkout so I was forced to wait until I got there to go inside and ask for help placing my order. I showed the girl behind the counter the issue on the app which she also could not figure out how to bypass. The employee, Adrianna, whom I assume was a manager (due to her uniform) explained that perhaps my order wasn’t able to be completed because the lobby had just closed. (I was attempting to order pickup to go inside the restaurant.) This might be true but I’d also began trying to place my order before it was 9:30pm. And she said a few other customers have complained of the same issue too. She further informed me that the lobby closes at 9:30 pm but the drive thru stays open later. Unfortunately I was walking since I am disabled and don’t drive, and could not utilize the drive thru. Since she could see that I had truly been unable to use the app, she sympathized and explained that the lobby was closed but if I’d like, she’d fulfill my order (1 charburger w cheese & a side of deep fried avocado wedges) though I’d have to take it to go. That’s all I wanted in the first place so I was very satisfied w that offer. She was extremely polite and considerate about my butgerless situation, and I appreciate her willingness to meet halfway. That was a very nice thing for her to do even though she really didn’t have to. I can see why she’’s a manager! The burger was hot & tasty and perfectly customized to my preferences. Read moreOrdinarily, I like Habit. Food is OK, however extremely overpriced. This particular Habit had extremely rude employees. Went with my family for lunch after soccer. Ordered kids meals for the Littles while I was waiting for my husband and other daughter. Received my kids meals except the drinks. Waited for several minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. Then when one of the employees finally came over, she had an attitude when I asked for my cups. Clearly seeing I had 2 kids meals on my tray, she asked what size cups, then rolled her eyes when I said that if eas for the kids meals. We then ordered the rest of our food a few minutes later. You can ONLY order at the kiosk in this restaurant and they send you a text when your food is ready. I was standing at the counter for several minutes prior to receiving the text. And waited for about 10 minutes after receiving it. The same employee asked what I was waiting for. I told her I got the text that my food was ready, but it never made it to the counter. She said someone else must have taken it. I told her I had been standing there the whole time and it never came up. Read moreWe mobile ordered and order the same thing all the time. On the receipt it even shows what toppings you don’t want on your burger. They completely ignored the order and added everything. So my wife went to the counter with her burger and stated she asked for certain toppings not be put on her burger, the clerk was rude and said do you have your receipt. Like my wife was lying. Of course we had the receipt we just picked up the order and I was eating in the lounge with her. So they remade her burger and added the same toppings again, completely ignoring what it said on the receipt, mind blowing! We love your burger’s but will never go to the Merced location ever again, Or any Habit as far as I’m concerned. Tell your employees to pay attention to making food!
And I forgot to mention the ice machine was busted, so no ice for soda.
UPDATE: I am changing my review! The issue was taken care of promptly by the company! Now that is amazing customer care!! You won me back as a customer. And if anyone is reading this. They not only take care of their customers, they have incredible hamburgers and amazing onion...
