I initially chose MI Florist for my bridal bouquet and was thrilled with the result. After receiving the bouquet, I decided to have it preserved in a frame. I provided them with a general idea of what I wanted, including several inspiration photos, and indicated that they should reach out if they had any questions or concerns.
During our discussions, both in person and over email, I specified my preferences and was assured that they would accommodate my request. However, I did not receive any further communication until they informed me that the bouquet was ready for pickup.
Unfortunately, the framed bouquet was very different than inspiration photos I had provided. Once the flowers were placed in the frame, no alterations could be made. Rather than informing me that my design could not be achieved with the frame I provided, they proceeded with the preservation, resulting in a final product that did not meet the expectations discussed.
When I contacted MI Florist to address the issue, the owner responded unprofessionally. He suggested that I should have known that the design I wanted couldn't be completed with my chosen frame and offered as a solution that I could repurchase a new bouquet and frame with no refund. He did not take responsibility for the lack of communication or the error on their part. Instead, he blamed me for not researching the frame thoroughly. Throughout the conversation, he failed to offer any apology for their oversight.
I am deeply disappointed in MI Florist for their inadequate communication and unprofessional handling of the situation. Their failure to inform me of the framing issues cost me my bridal bouquet. If they had communicated the limitations of the frame beforehand, I would have gladly found an alternative or used one of their frames.
