SHIPPERS BEWARE: I was given a quote for my peloton bike in the store while looking at Pelotonâs website. I brought my bike into the store to have it shipped, and all of the employees were confused about shipping a bike. They called their manager who is on his way in I was told to leave my bike and some China to be packaged and then they would call me to make a payment over the phone to have the item shipped. I was assured that my items would be kept safe and would be shipped no problem. I received a call from the manager later informing me that the price to ship my bike was going to be almost 4 times the amount of the quote that he had given me because he had made an error and dimensions after packaging. I requested multiple times to have the item shipped at the quote that was given to me prior to bringing in the bike. The store has declined this as well as avoided communications with me and threatened to donate my items. I was told because there is no contract. They are not obligated to ship at the quote that they gave me nor are they guaranteeing the safety of my items that total around $5000 altogether, I am in the middle of an out-of-state move, and it is very unsettling to have them in possession of my items, not knowing if they will be shipped to me or kept safe or donated at their whim. UPS corporate has informed me that they cannot enforce the store to follow through with shipping at the âI was given or offered any help in protecting my items from their carelessness. I am about a week into this nightmare and have tried calling the store multiple times today to no avail. It seems that they are avoiding my phone calls as I am trying to make payment to have them shipped, I received an email this afternoon telling me that I must write up a contract myself and have it notarized in order to pay for my items to be shipped. The last time I was in the store I was told I would be called to make a payment over the phone.    Read moreI went to UPS on 2/23/23 to return an Amazon package which my husband sent to me along with the Xmas Bag and packing receipt. I was told by the gentleman that I needed a box so I purchased one there for $4.25. He put the bag in the box and I advised him the packing receipt is in the Xmas bag, he said yes I know. He gave me a receipt which I thought was for the return item but it was only for the box. Today 3/8/23 I went back to the UPS store and gave the lady the receipt and advised her that Amazon did not receive the box. She said this receipt doesnât show anything and I canât help you. I asked her can you look up the date on2/23/23 at 02:39 pm which shows on my receipt. She called another employee. They took a glance at the computer and said we canât help you unless we have a barcode. Iâm a bit irritated not only because there is no tracking but the employee did not provide or offer me a receipt for tracking at the start of this mess..only for the box ! Bad on me for not verifying before leaving the store. When I mentioned this to the lady today she said most customers donât take receipts and we just throw it in the trash while pointing at the trash bin in a rude tone. I didnât know they were done with the conversation until I asked are we done is there anything else I need to do and the other lady said need barcode and walked away. No apology or thank you for stopping by. Now I have to contact the person who was the gift giver to this missing item which was mailed back from Japan causing more delays!    Read moreThere's just too much lackadaisical work going on here. The line barely moves. There are 2 horrible times to go to this UPS Store. 1 if you're the only 1 in line and 2 at lunch time when it's busy.
Here's why: When you're the last or only 1 in line, they'll make you stand there while they walk to the back, chat a min, etc. It's very annoying. There's no, hi I'll be right with you and little effort to take care of your package in a timely manner. Mine are always pre-paid and take seconds. I'm not sure why there's rudeness to the customers. This one is the worst! They ALWAYS let at least 1 person go to lunch right at noon. This one makes absolutely no sense. It's your busiest time of the day and you don't have your full staff working the front? I've worked jobs that are similarly busy at lunch. You take your lunch break before or after the 12-1 rush, not during it to miss all of the work. That makes for a very poor customer experience. We can see what's happening. Especially when they come out and laugh to their co-workers that they are going to lunch with a line out of the door! I feel like the employees are trying to make people mad so they go some place else (they won't be as busy and won't have to work as hard).
If you're the owner, you should really consider sending in a mystery shopper to let you know what's going on in this place. ...
