There was not off-street parking, so I parked along the road. When you park on the street, you will see a singular sidewalk that takes you from one end of the park to the other.
You first pass by the volleyball court on the right. Beyond the volleyball court, there is a gravelly area- and from there you can find the trailhead to the Falcon Hill trail (no signage to tell you that it was there so it was a bit hard to find, only saw a warning sign there to not go up there before dawn or after dusk). The Falcon Hill trail was rocky and narrow and I couldn't find a way to get all the way up to to the peak. On the way down you can crouch down and hold onto the rocks for balance although it's not really an advanced hike. In front of the volleyball court area and a bit off to the side is the horseshoes area and behind the horsehoes area is a fence and you can cross that to a gravel path that lets you see the side of the hill, and it dumps out into the neighborhood.
After the horsehoes area, there is the playground and next to the playground is the basketball court. There were two ramadas, some open air picnic tables and benches, and one water fountain. The park was pretty quiet when I went. Quiet, clean, and...
Read moreThis park was pretty cool... We went after dark so we didn't explore like we do most parks but there's an area for little little kids, grade school and older big kids. And there's a side walk that wraps around the play ground area for parents that want to walk while their kids play. The walk area surrounds the sand pit playground so you can see your kids no matter where you are on the path. I loved it. Did you hear me say the sand pit? Yeah that's the only down fall. Sand pits are like kitty litters to me! YUCK! If they had the wood chips or even the sponge grounds I would have given 5 ⭐. But that sandpit need to be replaced ASAP. It's just a sess pool for germs and so unsanitary for children. Not sure if there's a bathroom but I surely needed one for my toddler bc Safeway was the closest place with a restroom and were...
Read moreGood little park not far from Power McKellips intersection. Nice playgrounds with two tire swings, bunch of slides (weee time), a few swings and other climb/fall rides with appropriate fall protection rubberized surfaces. Well kept with decent benches and picnic area for adults.
The biggest negative for me was no restrooms. NO RESTROOMS! Who designs a park+playground that way? Totally missed the mark for kids and Personally, I would like to see a big No Restroom Facility or something similar right at the entrance. Speaking of which, the parking is limited (right on the street) and the entrance is, nondescript, almost vague. Guess they were severely limited on budget.
Nice as it is, unlikely we'll be returning to this one because, well, NO... you...
