I was at my hair salon this morning and my hairdresser recommended Gyros Place. She said she’s Greek and real fussy about her Greek food and she’s been eating at Gyros since she moved to Arizona 20+ years ago. So my hubby and I tried it when I was done with my hair. It’s a really small place so not wheelchair friendly. Only around 5 tables inside with a few tables outside. Busy though with only the one cook behind counter. It took awhile to get our order (20 minutes), but so worth the wait. It was really good and it was hot and fresh. Next time I’ll just call ahead to order and go pick it up. Most of the people going in ordered food to go. It’s in the Safeway shopping center on N Power at the end of the building where Cold Stone snd Firehouse Subs is located. We ordered item 11 off menu over counter. Chunks of chicken over rice with salad, dressing and tzatziki sauce with a flatbread. Delicious!

Glad this place won the coin flip If you know what a good gyro tastes like this is the place you want to go I guarantee this to be one of the best gyros you've ever had come stuffed with The best tasting lamb meat the Pita was very good and the tzatziki sauce was amazing Not to mention the family behind the counter The guys were very personable and services excellent we were conversating as my sandwich was getting made The only disappointment was that they are so fast that we didn't get a chance to talk longer This is a don't miss let me know what you think as I'm thinking about transitioning to YouTube and Instagram reviews for the Phoenix valley area as we frequent a lot of different restaurants and establishment's

I'm so glad we stopped in there today. As my family member said, "This is my new favorite Greek food place. It's the best Greek food I've ever had." And I couldn't say it better than that. It's a nice little place that's in such a convenient place that we usually just go past it on our way places. I'm so glad we stopped in there today. We will definitely be back, a lot! We will definitely be supporting this amazing small business. Unfortunately we couldn't find them on the food delivery services and it doesn't look like they have the ability to order on their website. But the website provides the menu and a phone number if you want to call in the order to pickup.

i normally do not leave reviews but this place deserves one.. i live near here and i eat here due to convenience and only that. the gyros are ok but the staff is RUDE. i always give a place 2 to 3 tries until i decide if its "bad" or something is wrong due to everyone may have a bad day but..

my first experience i ordered my gyro without onions.. i drive back to the office and open it up and it has onions.. i call them on the phone and i explain the issue and they said bring it back in. so i left work (everyone else was eating), i drive back to the store and they said i did not ask for no onions and charged me to make a new one.. wasted my lunch doing this...

second experience.. i ordered a side of hummus and they forgot to put it in the bag. i called them and again i drove Back in and they said they did Not charge me for it and charged me for it so i could take it and leave.

i went again this week. this time i ordered my normal gyro and i asked for an extra side of salad dressing (this is after i already have paid and was leaving). i only had $100's in my wallet and they made me pay $.35 extra for the dressing so i let them process my debit card instead of breaking a hundred.

this last time is the last time i will ever return, they are Very rude and treat the customers very bad. as i sat there waiting 15 minutes for my gyro they called out to the elderly customer who placed an order in front of me saying "SIR your food is ready!" and when he did not reply (he was in his 80s?) they yelled even louder instead of just brining it to him 5 feet away.. then again he looked up she rudely pointed a the door and said again "Your Food is READY!".. this was uncalled for and not a way to treat another person..

if you value your money and dont waste your time dining here. if they make a mistake...

Food is good, service is horrible.

The last time I was here, the gentleman behind the counter snapped at the person on the phone who was giving an order (you know, a customer). No big deal, everyone can have a bad day once in a while, right?

This time I called in to place my order and a woman took the order. Unfortunately she too was kind of rude. So I guess they’re at least consistent?

Also, apparently you cannot go to their website (gyrosplacemesa.com) and use the 10% off coupon because it’s expired. Why is it still on the website? Who knows. Apparently that’s not the RIGHT website, even though it is virtually identical to the one they direct you to through google.

Oh, and don’t listen to the time frame they quote you for when the food will be ready. They say 20 minutes and apparently that means 20 minutes from when you walk in, defeating the purpose of calling ahead.

So, if you’re okay with good Greek food and terrible customer service while waiting around for your food in a cramped little...
