Maria's Pet Grooming and Daycare — Attraction in Miami

What a very disappointing and altogether unpleasant experience. This will be my last review for 2024 and how unfortunate it is not a good one! We made an appointment for our 7 year old Golden Retriever to have a basic grooming. After picking up our Scott, when we got home we noticed our he had a really bad cut/scar and he was rubbing against the wall. He never showed this behavior before. We called Maria, the owner and she right away was on the defensive yelling as us in Spanish. Maybe it is possible that this cut did not occur yesterday while our dog was at Maria's but what is NOT POSSIBLE is that no one noticed such a big red and ugly cut!!!

They should not have accepted our dog or at the very least pointed out to us that they noticed he had a really bad wound! She claims she was not there and that they were very busy! This is not the reply we would expect. If you love your dog, think twice and then think one more time before entrusting your pet to these uncaring and unprofessional people.

For the past five years, I have been a loyal customer of Maria’s Grooming. Unfortunately, the quality of service has recently taken a significant turn for the worse. I dropped my dog off at around 9:00 AM, expecting the usual care and efficiency. By 5:30 PM, I still hadn’t received a call for pickup, so I decided to check in. My dog is a chihuahua mix, which doesn’t require a particularly time-intensive grooming session.

When I arrived, I was shocked to learn that they hadn’t even started working on him. This meant my dog had been confined to a cage for over eight hours. They assured me it would only take 30 minutes to complete the grooming, so I returned at 6:18 PM. While his haircut looked somewhat acceptable, it was evident that the rushed job led to poor results. Even worse, his thighs were red and slightly scratched.

I was heartbroken by this experience. The grooming now costs $60, up from the original $40 we paid when we started—but even that pales in comparison to the lack of care my dog received. I have been going to Maria for about 4 years now, and I will never go anywhere else, If I can give her more than 5 stars I would! ⭐️ Throughout the years I’ve always left extremely content with her service, The place itself is very clean, organized, and welcoming, Maria’s work is top tier, she knows how to care and handle my two anxious chihuahuas! When she’s working on them she treats them with patience and love. You can tell Maria loves her job. Her prices are very reasonable for her work. Maria herself is a kind soul who has such a passion for animals, I can trust her with my babies with my eyes closed!
