AVOID Premier Luxury RV at All Costs – Our DUMPSTER FIRE Experience
We recently rented an RV from Premier Luxury RV for our cross-country move to Cedar City, UT, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish.
Before pickup: Three weeks before our trip, we asked to see and test-drive the RV (we’d never driven one before). The owner, James, we could NOT get a hold of him through text, email, and phone calls. Then told us it was unavailable because it needed a new water pump valve. We never saw or tested it before pickup day.
Pickup day: When we arrived, we noticed issues immediately — wires hanging from the dash, a broken radio, and a non-functioning reverse camera. The sun blinds were held up by a bungee cord and duct tape. The “walkthrough” was rushed, and although we paid for insurance, they never verified who was actually insured to drive. Knowing that he had communicated to both of us that we would both be driving.
On the road:
No reverse camera or working radio
Windows taped shut with duct tape
Dishwasher didn’t work
AC failed to cool properly (front cabin hit 91°F — we had to put frozen food behind the driver’s back to keep him cool)
Generator had to run constantly, adding fuel costs
Rubber hoses hanging outside, banging against the RV the entire trip
Final day: AC leaked inside the RV
RV entry door jammed, trapping my daughter inside — I had to climb through the driver’s window to get her out
Charges & Insurance Issues: James allotted us only 129 miles/day despite knowing we were driving cross-country, leading to mileage overages — which we were double-charged for (by both him and the contract company). During the trip, a rock cracked the windshield. We had paid for insurance, but my husband — the driver — was not listed on the policy, so the claim was denied. We ended up paying for half the windshield (as per James’ “generous” offer) James offered to split the cost but only provided a generic invoice, never real proof.
Resolution: After all of this, the owner offered a $2500 credit toward a future rental. That’s it. This nightmare of an experience has cost over $15,000.
Bottom line: This company’s use of the word “Luxury” is laughable. The RV was unsafe, poorly maintained, and grossly misrepresented. Communication was poor, policies were unclear, and the customer service response was insulting. I strongly recommend avoiding Premier Luxury RV — rent elsewhere if you value your safety, your time,...
Read moreAfter leasing 5 different RVs over the past 10 years from 2 different companies, a friend recommended that we give Premier Luxury RV Rentals a call, as they’re local and have a great selection.
We leased a 41 Foot Class A Diesel pusher (American Coach) for a 6 day trip to Lake George, NY. When we picked up the RV it was in excellent condition, and Jim (owner) spent about 45 minutes reviewing the different systems and how we can operate them safely. He also reviewed our Rental Agreement that covers the pricing, any additional costs or penalties, and our security deposit.
We left on July 28th and were scheduled back on August 2nd. The RV performed extremely well, and was professionally washed, interior cleaned, and well-stocked including various regular and diet Sodas, Bottled Water, Sparkling Water, Condiments, Spices, disposable cutlery and plates, as well as glass dishes and coffee cups, and 2 different Keurig machines with K-cups, sugar, and low call sweeteners. Additionally there were 2 Corn hole Games, 8 folding chairs, 2 large fold-out tables, Candelabras, 2 different propane grilles / griddles, as well as spare propane, ice makers, and even a fire pit and firewood. Extremely well stocked for a family vacation.
We had no issues, however there were 5-6 times where we were unsure exactly how to work something on the coach OR we wanted to check before operating incorrectly and damaging an expensive vehicle so we would text Jim on his mobile phone. Every single time we did he either texted back OR called us back within 2-3 minutes to assist us. He also had his Son and his Yard Manager on call as well.
When you’re leasing such a large and complex vehicle, even if you’ve done it several times like us, having support is critical, and Jim and his Team were FANTASTIC!!
We decided we would like to stay 2 more days, and Jim was able to accommodate us at a reasonable rate, and continued his support.
When we returned to the Yard, his Yard Manager (Darren) was there to open the gates, assist us in parking the Bus, and quickly checking through the coach. He gave us a clean review, checked us out, and returned our security deposit.
We have nothing but EXCELLENT things to say about Jim, Darren, and Premier Luxury RV. They are 5 star, supportive, and delivered a great Luxury Motor Coach experience for our...

If you are considering renting from Premier Luxury RV in New Jersey, stop and read this first. My experience was not just disappointing—it was unsafe, dishonest, and a complete nightmare from start to finish.
I found this company online with what looked like good reviews. I tried repeatedly to arrange a test drive before booking, but once they took my deposit, communication became nearly impossible. The owner kept giving conflicting stories about when the vehicle would be available.
On pickup day, his staff was courteous, but the owner was nowhere to be found. No paperwork or driver’s license check was done—completely unprofessional. The rental was booked through Outdoorsy (which I now believe enables scams like this).
We made it clear we were driving cross-country to Utah. Hidden deep in the contract was a clause limiting us to 125 miles per day—impossible for our planned route—plus outrageous generator fees and a $3,000 “fly a team member out” charge to retrieve the RV.
Once we hit the road, the truth about this so-called “luxury” RV became painfully clear:
Windows that wouldn’t stay locked
Gaskets falling off while driving
Duct tape holding exterior parts together
AC not working in summer heat
Broken TV and dishwasher
No audio system or working rearview camera
Wires dangling under the dashboard
Leaking roof
It was so unsafe that we cut our trip short and skipped Yellowstone entirely out of fear that the RV wouldn’t make it without breaking down completely.
I gave the owner every chance to fix the situation. His excuse? “This business is hard” and “It’s tough to find people to work on these vehicles.” That’s not an excuse when people’s safety and thousands of dollars are on the line.
If you’re thinking of renting from Premier Luxury RV—especially for a trip beyond the Poconos—beware. This company will take your money, deliver an unsafe, poorly maintained vehicle, and leave you stranded with unexpected charges and no support.
Unsafe. Dishonest. A...
