Party Fair — Attraction in Middletown Township

I do NOT recommend going to this Party Fair. If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a helium tank for party balloons that I ended up not using. I tried to return it, completely unopened with the receipt and the guy who I can only guess is the manager said it wasn’t returnable. I asked why and stated it’s not used, not even opened. He then pointed to a sign on top of a display that says they’re not returnable, very smug, not apologetic. His only response was pointing out the sign, twice. That’s not where I grabbed the product from, that display was not there the day I purchased. I got the kit down from a shelf, where there was no such sign. The cashier also did not tell me that it was not returnable, something, I think, is simply customer service, to give your customer the option, the knowledge that the item they are about to spend money on is final sale. I did speak to the cashier about recycling the tank which was an opportunity to tell me the policy. Had he displayed a different attitude towards someone who spent money in his establishment, I wouldn’t be writing this. I can understand things are final sale. I go to get my sons balloons (2 of them) blown up that cost me 10.99 per balloon to fill. Not only that- I was laughed at and told “hopefully they don’t have holes in them” because we don’t refund if they do. I had also purchased 3 other latex balloons which by time I got home 2 were deflated. The staff is rude and not welcoming at all. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Save yourself the trip and go to party city in hazlet where the staff is nice...
