Greater Middletown Military Museum — Attraction in Middletown

Free admission to a gem of a museum! The collection spans from the American Revolution through current day with emphasis on Middletown area military contributions to our nation’s success. The collection has been growing over a 25 year period. There is an extensive library of military history including primary resource material for in depth research. Bonus: the museum is adjacent to CT Trees of Honor (a moving memorial to 65 Connecticut military killed in action since 9/11) and a Vietnam era Huey Helicopter (a proposed National Monument to Laotian combatants that rescued downed American pilots and performed undercover missions...

I like this park because it's quiet it's clean a lot of flooding never really took a walk on the trails that they have but I do know every year we have a friend my family and I have a friend that basically does a barbecue every year the place is great never been in the swimming pool I find it very ironic how they're doing the park now they're taking the time and effort to do something for the veterans at this park I give much respect to those people thought of that it's very nice keep up...

A labor of love by Veterans for all to see and learn. I have seen this museum grow from nothing to where it stands. With a real Huey Helicopter on display outside and inside many, many military displays. A good friend of mine Jerry Augustine and author of his memoirs "Vietnam and Beyond" was involved in helping along with others in the creation of this fabulous museum.
