I love the selection. I only bought a few items and so far tasted each cookie. Very moist, each is flavorful for the item I chose and fair priced.
Apple turnover is the square pastry. Chocolate-peanut butter cupcake. Blueberry muffin Cranberry-orange muffin
Coconut macaroons, Amaretto, sugar, cinn-sugar, raspberry cookies.
I will return. 🙂
UPDATE: Friday 12/29/2023, 945a
I have been coming here now for over 2 years, I am still just as happy with the baked goods as I was on day one, for the most part.
The items I tend to purchase stay consistent in flavor and texture. That is really an important aspect to me when it comes to foods.
Today I purchased a few of my favorites...
2-Oatmeal/raisin cookies 1-Peanut butter cupcake 2-regular sized ricotta and chocolate chip cannolis
I did notice for the first time that my oatmeal raisin cookies were not fresh and there is some weird aftertaste, I ended up tossing what I had left.
The peanut butter cupcake was very good, moist and tasted fresh
I have not eaten the cannolis as of now
If you have not tried them, at least try them and be the judge for yourself
You may want to make sure and inquire if you have any question as to when these items are baked, before purchasing
They are a staple to many households, a long-standing Italian bakery that has all of the Italian baked goods/gelatos
I am not a big fan of the almond / amaretto flavoring, so I have found other items in there (which is not hard to do) which work for me.
There are times when they only have one person working and you can walk into four or five other people waiting, So bring your patience if you see cars in the parking lot.
Today it was 15 minutes for me to get in and out. I was not in a rush, so I even let someone go ahead of me and the wait did not bother...
Read moreI placed a pickup order for a small cake last week and came in to pick it up tonight. The line was long and moving slowly, which I didn’t mind. However, there was no clearly marked area for pickups, so I waited in line for about 10 to 15 minutes, unsure of where to go. Eventually, I saw a DoorDash driver skip the line and get his order at the side counter, so I followed suit, thinking that must be where pickups are handled.
The employee assisting him, who had been packing up another order, paused what she was doing to help him, then continued her task. I stood a couple of feet away from her on the other side of the counter, clearly visible, and yet she avoided all eye contact with me for another 5 to 10 minutes. She was very slowly checking off items and packing a box, and when she finally finished, she turned her back to me and deliberately asked “Who’s next?” while walking around me to help someone else.
At that point, I started to speak up, but her coworker, who was incredibly friendly, immediately noticed what was going on and stepped in to help me without hesitation.
To the employee who helped me, thank you for your professionalism. As for the employee who ignored me (she had black hair, glasses, and was wearing bunny ears), I hope this is used as a reminder that customer service starts with basic courtesy. Acknowledge people who are waiting, especially when they’ve been standing right in front of you patiently.
My suggestions: Please create a clearly marked pickup area so people don’t waste time waiting in line for an order that’s already prepared. A refresher on basic customer service for staff would go a long way.
This was a disappointing experience that could have been avoided with just a little more attention and...
Read moreI honestly do not know what to say as Ive been going to the Hartford location since I was a child so needless to say...Im a little heartbroken. Anyway, went to this location tonight as its now the closest one to me. When I arrived a young lady came up to the counter leaned on it and didnt say anything just stared. I dont know if she said anything to us as it was just akward but I told her we would like six pastries to which she replied "do you want cookies or cake?" I said "pastries" and she said "cake?". As I order multiple birthday cakes a year I was confused bit then realized she was calling the pastries "cake"...still akward but whatever. I told her Id like 6 and she started filling the box with the ones I pointed at...she was using a very small box. The last pastry was a long horn type pastry which just completely threw her off. She was trying to fit this long horn into an already full box on top of the other pastries until she stood there and looked totally confused. Eventually she went and got 2 girls from the back and they stood in the corner with my box of pastries talking when one girl made up a bigger box that would fit them all. Now this new girl starts putting my pastries in the bigger box, talking to the other girls and laughing and taking her time when another girl comes and puts a pastry in the box. They then stood there laughing and talking in front of me. Didnt realize until I got home one of the decorations fell off of one of the pastries and was picked up and put back on after it fell off. This is so unacceptable and highly disappointing. I dont know if I will come...
