Denver Mattress — Attraction in Midland

Beware of their sales pitch!

We purchased a purple mattress from Denver Mattress a little more than a week ago. After sleeping on the mattress a few nights I quickly realized my body was not adjusting to it well. But due to our very informative sales lady Natasha’s sales pitch we were confident we could go into the store and just exchange it for a better fit. They claim you can return products for a restocking fee, however, what they don’t tell you is that they will charge back all the “free” goods and any sales promotion going on at the time. So what was supposed to be a $100 restocking fee turned into $600 lost! To top it all off our sales lady Natasha had a bad attitude about the details of the original purchase and the return. She attempted to blame us, the customers, for having to reorder legs for the adjustable base that she incorrectly ordered to begin with. In our experience Natasha was excellent with the sale of the mattress…very informative and helpful when taking our money …not so gracious or helpful with the return! Originally we walked in thinking we would exchange our recently purchased mattress but after our experience with Natasha we decided to just get a refund and spend our hard earned money somewhere else. My son was in need of a new mattress. After looking online and finding the mattress that we felt would be the best choice I called the local store here in Midland, TX. A gentleman named Steven answered and got us fixed up in just a matter of a few minutes. He did make a point to ask if there were any other products we needed (pillows, protective coverings, etc) but I declined simply because we weren’t in need of any of those things at this time. I worked in retail for many, many years and I know the standard drill of building the sale. However, I am truly appreciative of the fact that he didn’t push or pressure me into buying more than we set out to purchase today. We do have other similar and related purchases that will need to be made in the not-too-distant future and, because of Steven’s professionalism and friendly and knowledgeable attitude, which went hand-in-hand with product availability that suited what we needed, we will most certainly be back. Hopefully next time we will get the pleasure of meeting the gentleman that helped us over the phone today. Thanks so much, Steven! Keep up...

Natasha was a big help in steering me towards the right direction. I had previously bought from a Denver Mattress years ago at another location and couldn’t remember what I got. She took her time to look it up, show me/pull out what I got, but then also brought out and offered many of their newer selections in the same category so I could see if I still wanted to proceed with what I had gotten before or to try something similar with newer technology. I appreciated this greatly cause I hate spending hours in a store looking for something or not even trying to look and then thinking “what if”.
