This is the worst thing I've seen in a restaurant, much less, a Chipotle.
I came in yesterday 12/7/24 to get a late lunch. (2:40pm) It was probably as dirty in this Chipotle as I've ever seen it. Every single table had trash, and almost every inch of the floor there was visible dirt and food. In the almost 50+ mins I was in there, I didn't see one employee clean one single part of the dining area. They were not excessively busy or understaffed.
A gentleman at the end of the long barstool table near the entrance, unfortunately, was sick and vomited in the walkway. The staff at the register were informed within 2 minutes or less. After about four customers walked through the sick and were tracking it into the line to order. I tried to wave them around, but to little effect. So, with the help of one of the neighboring tables, I barricaded part of the entrance and the entire beginning of the line. After about 10-15 minutes of waving people around the spillage, I began to wonder how long it would take for someone to clean this up. Seeing as not one single employee had come to even look at the mess, I began to be a bit more concerned. I decided to set a timer and wait and see if they even cared enough to come look at the bio and fire hazard. After about 35 minutes, one employee walked to the bathroom, then over to the mess, looked it over, and proceeded to exit through the side door. After another 20 minutes, I left disgusted. For all I know, it still has not been cleaned up. They were fine with having vomit tracked over every part of their floor by every unwitting customer for the rest of the day. It was unbelievably concerning and gross. You have to wonder what other health standards and basic cleanliness are not being followed in the back.
It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. Literally, the previous time, I was in this Chipotle, I ordered a burrito with double meat and I only was able to get through about 1/3 of it and had to throw away the rest, because the rice was so undercooked, it was crunchy. Now that I’m here, I'll list some of the other main problems. I've never seen a Chipotle have more issues. For months, this Chipotle has had no ice in the machine and / or the fountain out of service. (I'm pretty sure no one wants to just bring the ice from the back) They often don't bother to make the tea. They're not often filling the other non soda drink machine up. Read moreI live in midland and usually order or buy at this location but when I made my purchase I was an hour away. I accidentally placed my order to this location. My fault I admit to that. Well I tried canceling my order as soon as I placed it but there was no customer service line. I tried calling the midland location and they didn’t answer so I though I’d place the order again at my nearest location and try and get the money back later. (Big mistake) When I finally got a hold of someone in midland I spoke to Wayne (the general manager) who at the time gave me options. He said he could have sent the order to my nearest location. I then said I didn’t know that. If I had know that I wouldn’t have placed the other order. He said he could put the money back into my account. To witch I said great. Then I said “you know what, I love chipotle why don’t you just give me a gift card instead Would that be easier” and he said yes I can give you store credit. I said okay am I going to have any issues because I am an hour away he said no I won’t be here but I’ll let the manager that will come next know. I said okay. This happened in the morning at 11am. I show up to the store at 9pm and the manager doesn’t come out instead I get a woman who rudely asks me why I need the manager. I said “there is no problem I was just asked to speak to the manager by Wayne”. The girl goes to the back and comes back and says “so what do you want my manager is busy”. Her approach was supper rude to witch I said”I don’t like to repeat my self but for you I’ll make an exception .. I need to speak to the manager”. She then said “well she is busy what do you want”. The entire experience was frustrating. I forgave Chipotle when their food gave me a stomach flu but horrible customer service I won’t forgive. I’m a truck driver and was parked in Midland, TX for the night. My girlfriend flew in from Florida, and since neither of us had eaten all day, I wanted to treat her to dinner. We ordered through Uber Eats: a burrito bowl for me and a salad bowl for her , both with double steak.
First, we never received our drinks. Second, the portion size of the salad bowl was completely unacceptable , barely filled and an insult for what we paid. It felt like we were being disrespected as customers, especially considering it’s our money that keeps your doors open.
When I tried calling the store, they were already closed, and I was redirected to automated support. I contacted Uber Eats with a photo and requested a refund due to the poor portion. They refused.
But here’s the worst part: at 3 AM, my girlfriend woke up in excruciating pain from food poisoning , vomiting and sick from both ends. This wasn’t just bad service; this was a serious food safety issue.
I reported the incident to Uber Eats’ food safety team, and they opened an investigation into this location.
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I’ve been a loyal Chipotle customer since around 2012, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. But this experience may very well be our last.
Avoid this location at all costs. It’s highway robbery , and a health hazard.
