Blue Sky Texas — Restaurant in Midland

First off, I have frequented two other Blue Sky locations so I am comparing apples to apples. Location was not difficult, parking was good. I have to say this one needs to wake up and hit it's business stride which should have been addressed before even the soft open. Efficiency, low. It seemed like all the staff was being trained on everything. Again, should be before soft open. I don't remember what this location was before this but the concrete floor should have been major cleaned before open. I knew right where to stand at the urinal because the footprints were the clean spot. The location gave me the feeling they might not plan to stay.

The food: it has the Blue Sky menu but remember, comparing apples to apples here, the food was okay. Just okay. You may want to calibrate temperature or time on the fried items. They seemed a bit undercooked and excessively oily. Burgers were cooked just right and juicy. The drink counter was exceptional as were the drinks. However of note: other locations come and refill drinks as a bit of table service, not here.

It just seems like the staff is not quite ready for prime time. However, maybe that just seems to be a problem with Midland in general as I have noticed very sub-par performance in other national chains. I would like to see business owners in Midland remember one paramount concept: it's about the people, both staff and customers. The experience is everything on both sides of...

I recently visited Blue Sky Burger Place in Midland, TX, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Here's why I would not recommend this establishment:

Poor Quality Food: The burgers at XYZ Burger Place were disappointing and lacked flavor. The meat was overcooked, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The toppings were sparse and seemed to be of low quality.

Unhygienic Conditions: The cleanliness of the restaurant was subpar. I noticed dirty tables, floors that hadn't been swept properly, and an overall lack of attention to hygiene. It made me question the kitchen's cleanliness standards.

Slow Service: The service at XYZ Burger Place was incredibly slow. It took an unreasonable amount of time for my order to be taken, and even longer for the food to arrive at my table. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in providing efficient service.

High Prices, Low Value: Despite the mediocre quality of the food and service, the prices at XYZ Burger Place were unreasonably high. The value for money simply was not there, considering the lackluster experience I had.

Unfriendly Staff: The staff members I encountered at XYZ Burger Place were unfriendly and unhelpful. They seemed disengaged and uninterested in ensuring that customers had a pleasant...

Blue Sky’s food is delicious for what it is! I don’t come here expecting a “pretty” burger or a healthy meal, haha. I come here when I’m craving something “greasy” and delicious. Their fries are some of the best in the area! The atmosphere is always super comfortable inside as seating is plenty and there is always good music playing. The serve yourself fountain drinks are a big plus in my book too. But really what keeps me coming back here is the exceptional service. I recently was on the receiving end of a not-so-great situation while trying to place and pick up an order at their drive thru window. Something didn’t feel right so I messaged Blue Sky on Facebook and got an almost immediate response from their general manager, Craig. Craig went above and beyond my expectations to correct the situation and ensure my satisfaction….all on a Sunday evening. Based upon my experience with Craig, I’ll be a customer for as long as we live here. It’s not often that you encounter employees and even managers who truly care anymore, but that’s not the case here.
