I took a part-time job here recently and it has to be the most disorganized mess I have ever seen.
First off I get hired on a Wednesday, the GM told me she will call me the next day with my schedule. No call on Thursday. So I call Friday and am told to come in that night.
I work that night and my goodness, no one hardly knew what the sauces for the salads were. They weren't even labeled. We ran out of a lot of different items also. They thought they were out of pepperoni and for most of the night they told customers that, then later in the night someone found more. Extremely disorganized. I then ask for my schedule again, I'm told to come in tomorrow (Saturday). At this point i still have not been given a physical copy or a way to access the full schedule.
Saturday comes and no one has done much prep so we run out of various item again. Also, we ran out of soup bowls and lids. There was also a time where the front was left unattended and customers had to come and yell for someone to come to the front. At the end of my shift Saturday I request a schedule again. I was told I work the coming Friday and that following Tuesday. I said ok.
I was added to the group me chat and someone added the schedule finally and I see the manager told me wrong I actually work 2 additional days to the days she said. One of them being Thursday. So I come in Thursday and try to clock in and it said I had been terminated. So I get with the 2 night shift managers and they said the GM must have mistaken you for someone else and fired you by accident. This also wasn't the first time this had happened. So they try to get me back in and it didn't work. So I come back Friday and the GM is there and she can't even get me back in the system. She also tried accusing me of the no call no shows. She also tried to leave my social out on a sticky note on her desk. When I confronted her about it she said, "Oh I have everyone's out, it's no big deal".
Clearly Nora the GM has never taken any formal training on business practices. Thats a big problem. Needless to say I won't be working in that mess anymore. And after reading a lot of the comments on here, this should bring to light why this Panera bread is...
Read moreThe worst lunch I've had out in midland in awhile and Midland is knows for its poor service and low quality standards for dining out. My husband and I ordered our lunches, his was half a grill cheese and bowl of tomato soup - mine a half a turkey salad and a Fuji apple salad. We waited more than half an hour to receive our food. During the wait we watched a woman and child who ordered after us get their food. We watched 2 tables of 5 people each get their food orders a plate or bowl at a time due to constant staff confusion. We saw staff wander around the store holding receipts and food trying to match it to tables but we all had the little locator devices so clearly they weren't being used. Our food finally came and my husband was given broccoli cheese soup instead of tomato. He accepted it since it had already taken so long. His grilled cheese sandwich was completely cold, toasted only in the crust with the middle of the bed cold bet and buttery. The cheese in the middle was cold and hard. My plate has my salad which literally had a pool of dressing in the bowl. I had no sandwich at all because they were out of turkey salad. I asked for a ham and swiss instead but I have no idea how it was be ause I never got it. Twenty minutes later I was tired of waiting and had given up hope the quality would be worth it anyhow. Two ladies at the table next to us ordered and one received her meal. The other never did. She want to track it down and found that the order was listed as a take out and had been sitting on a shelf for who knows how long. We heard her say fk it I'll just have to eat it at my office. They had staff but they were all clueless and useless. I saw several female staff members exiting bathroom stalls with their phones in their hands. Is there even a manager in this place? Midland is such a terrible place to eat out because of poor service and food. When I go out of town I eat at the same restaurant chains and have good experiences and quality food. The problem...
Read moreBeware: Manager and staff at this location have no idea what ingredients are in their products and will make your food wrong. We had already verified ingredients from the Panera corporate webpage. Local store contradicted. Called corporate and they said manager should have offered me a black binder that details all ingredients. Instead the lady taking our order and the supervisor they called over said none of their products met criteria and argued with us holding up the post-church rush hour line. They did not offer the black binder as corporate said they should. After ordering a salad with no cheese and no chicken, it arrived with heaping amounts of chicken. How hard is it to make a PB&J sandwich and a salad to order? The manager also gave us attitude at the table when we asked him to fix our order. After making a corporate complaint, the negative feedback is being channeled for manager education and retraining. The matter was not handled well, resulting in holding up a line during peak hours, lost profit by having to remake an order, and the loss of a potential repeat customer's business. Panera would do better to ensure that corporate standards for making meals align with local production standards. They should not advertise products as free from certain ingredients when they don't intend to follow through at the actual stores selling...
