Midland County Habitat for Humanity ReStore — Attraction in Midland

Rude staff, won't be returning. So my husband and 2 children(2 and 1) decide to go shopping for a dresser that my 1 year old desperately needed, and decided the perfect place to stop would be here! We walk in, my husband and I both wearing our masks properly. My 2 kids, they were not. We were keeping our distance in the store, we always do with the kids because they can't wear masks. We were next to no one. And we were here for about 5 to 10 minutes already(she happily watched us walk in, and said nothing) when she decided to yell at us because my 2 year old wasn't wearing a mask. We were about 15 to 20 feet across the store, she took 2 steps away from the counter and HOLLERED at us from across the store in front of about 5 other customers how we needed to put a mask on our 2 year old. Before I could actually explain to her that his doctor(because of how non verbal he is), told us not to put him in one, she repeatedly felt the need to interrupt my every sentence. We had to leave with a kicking and screaming 2 and 1 year old because this lady TERRIFIED them because of how AGGRESSIVE she was approaching(if you could actually call it approaching- mind you, she was yelling from across the store) me and their father. I was going to call and complain, but I felt that would have done no justice... so here I am writing a review where everyone can see, about how we were yelled at, degraded and kicked out because my 2 year old CAN'T...

Habitat has become a scam... mostly due to management...I received a home which was very poorly built...when I brought this to habitats attention as a genuine concern to be addressed by habitat..with hopes of some assistance with repairs...I was told we are not the same habitat !!? Why use habitats name then....the organization building my home and the building coordinator for habitat were fired as a result of being incompetent which was written in their news letter..funding for projects by habitat is sponsored with donations from many companies.... The restore in my opinion primarily funds their own greed (management) I am not allowed in the store because I have expressed my opinion about this and other matters... management also fails to recognize the importance of store employees who are VERY IMPORTANT in habitats function...I myself worked for them for about 4-5yrs until new and recent management weaseled their way in...I worked for them and with them way back when they were on bay city Rd. Ive seen alot and know alot which many times made me shake my head mostly at the end...... caution..... believe only half of what you see and only a small portion of what you hear...if they turned their heads you would see a...

I've been shopping at this store for a few years now and their prices always seemed higher than other donations based thrift stores. I accepted that because the merchandise was usually better quality. However, the last few months it has become worse. This afternoon I learned why. While shopping the store I overheard the manager and cashier joking (from at least 20 feet away) about a previous customer not liking how they were going to price something they were asking about, afterwards the cashier went on to ebay in order to find her prices. I'm writing this review as a heads up to potential thrift store shoppers that are looking for reasonable deals, and also slightly more profession staff, you may find better options at the salvation army...
